Give and get support around quitting
Tomorrow 12/04/2018 I want to start my plan to quit smoking as I am a prisoner of it. I’ve tried the patch got an allergic reaction, can’t do chantex due to a certain medication. Nicotine gum does some weird thing to my throat. I know when my triggers are but getting thru them is a joke. I’ve started working out 3 days ago being faithful on it. But I’m completely out of breath. This needs to stop & I am really struggling. On top of docs found multiple spots on my lungs. Any ideas with help? I’m literally begging.
Education is the key to a successful quit.

How to deal with cravings? What a great subject. I knew that I would face some cravings when I quit in 2013 at the age of 54. I guess, the reason that I did not give into those cravings was that I had made up my mind to quit--but it was hard. I made a list of things I was willing to do instead of smoke and I used that list. Cravings don't just go away because we don't want to feel them, they go away as we don't smoke and stand our ground in staying smober. Of course, there are those who adopt a positive attitude about quitting right from the start. I had to take the alternate route of just don't smoke until I found my sanity. I stayed busy--the plan.
So, dealing with cravings---from the start, smoking cannot be an option--do something else. Yes you can, one day at a time.
