Give and get support around quitting
I think this will be my 4th time trying to quit.. So now I’m just going to follow groups that pertain to me.. (newbie)
I always found talking/writing about the harmful side effects helpful. Something about saying/seeing it out loud reaffirmed my reasons for quitting.
Living with a smoker can make it harder, no doubt. There are several blogs about that. Just do a search "living with a smoker" for more info. Here's one to start you off: https://excommunity.becomeanex.org/community/expert-advice/blog/2017/06/21/quitting-when-you-live-wi...
Good luck on your quit. Any age is the right age to quit. It is not the age that matters, it is the mindset. As you can see there are many of us who tried many times over several decades to quit with no success.I know you are not asking for advise but for me personally I have been staying on this site as much as possible. You will find quite a few nuggets of info and wisdom just reading blogs! You will also find a tremendous well of support. Many of us do not think in terms of age. We are more like ex prisoners (to cigarettes) trying to help each other cope on a day by day basis. Some of us succeed some of us don't. Please use us as a resource to help you quit because that is the main reason you are on this site.
Again Good Luck!
