You can click on the links(https://excommunity.becomeanex.org/message/140686-re-what-does-a-withdrawal-symptom-feel-like?commen... ) above to go to the information about Triggers.

I started a document yesterday (Collaboration: Trigger Separation Exercises ) so that the community can suggest strategies to work through triggers.  That can also be a source of support for you as that document gets updated to handle triggers that affect you.

The suggestions are provided by individuals so your mileage may vary, if one approach doesn't work try another one until you find something that works for you and your quit journey.

Grammy25‌ , there are excellent links posted in this blog for you to click on.  Thanks everyone for the help finding these links.  That is where I was coming from to not focus too much on the symptoms of withdrawal from a physical standpoint.  It is the psychological withdrawal that needs to be put into check by revising your response to situations without the crutch of a cancer stick.

I'm so grateful for the bookmark feature on Jive.  I know this is a topic that will be brought up again, and probably has been in the past.  Bookmarking it enables me to capture the title and hopefully pass it on.

I don't see any "tag" ability on this conversation/discussion.  Tags seem to be only available on blogs?  Mark  If that's so, then may I suggest to you and to the Jive folks, that tags also be enabled in this discussion/conversation context. For any connection in a search engine to a topic is a good thing.  Whether it be in blogs or conversations or questions or .... This just strikes me as a reason to write a blog rather than a conversation/discussion.  The latter is limited in it's searchability.

Please don't take offence, Grammy, that your conversation has moved to other directions than to your intentions.  Sometimes a good question leads us in other directions that help others in different ways.

I just found the information on triggers awhile back to be powerful.  How EX presented them was in an understanding way to help you understand what triggers were, how they were involved with your success in quitting, how to identify them.  For me... it helped me understand "the enemy".  I was able to literally condition myself to recognize a trigger and address it for what it was worth.

Everyone is different.  What works for one person might not work for someone else.  The way I see it though... TRIGGERS that are not addressed as they come at you leads to you to make EXCUSES in handling situations "the old way" instead of "a new way", thus you have another failed quit.

But, this is a good chance for people to brainstorm.  Mark‌ , I am here to help - I returned to this site for that reason.  I have a smiley face next to my name now ( Giulia ), there's no turning back.
