Give and get support around quitting
Can anyone tell me why it is sad to think of a future without smoking? I haven’t reached my quit date yet, but I’m getting close. I just don’t understand — because I hate smoking – why it feels like life without a cigarette would be sad.
That's what Smoking Trigger Tracker Tool | Guides & Tools | BecomeAnEX is under My Quit Plan is for. It even gives you a summary at the end of the week of how much you smoked
Ooooh yeah I did fill that out a month before I quit but forgot and never went back to it:(
desiree465 I have a couple different ideas:
Tracking Cigarette craving behaviors:
Use our website:
Track Your Tobacco and Identify Your Triggers | Guides & Tools | BecomeAnEX
Beat Your Tobacco Triggers | Guides & Tools | BecomeAnEX
Use an App*:
Best Quit Smoking Apps of 2018
SMKR on the App Store (iPhone only)
*None of these apps are endorsed by the EX Community or Truth Initiative. Look at the reviews of apps before choosing an app for yourself. Some people have had success with these apps, but your mileage may vary.
Journaling:
Write a daily entry about various feeling throughout the day and tag it with one of the designated tags. Probably best as a personal blog if you're just capturing what you went through during the day but aren't looking to have a discussion with others or have any questions answered.
#thedayiquit for your actual quit day
I have also seen some tags like
#5_days_quit
....
#10_days_quit etc. ...
If multiple do this and tag their posts consistently it will give people thinking of quitting or behind them in the process a variety of viewpoints on quitting each day into their quit. Simply by clicking on the Tag you can go and see all posts tagged with that tag. You can also search the site for tags (keywords)

I don't how I missed this, but I'll stick my spiel in here. It's sad because it's like losing a best friend. smoking has been with us through thick and thin. was like a brother-in-law that we welcomed into the family and now we know it's time to let go because a divorce is happening or he's remarrying and wants to disconnect. it's time to move on to places we've never been with smoking being there with us all the time. We woke up to it and went to bed with it.
But...........welcome aboard. Once you've completed Smoking Trigger Tracker Tool | Guides & Tools | BecomeAnEX , please visit Newbie Quitters and read some there and also Best of EX. Therein contains some very useful and timeless knowledge saved to share with those that are serious about quitting smoking and also understanding how nicotine works inside our brains and bodies, How Nicotine Addiction takes over (and what to do about it!) . Be sure to use the search feature on the right-hand side of your screen to find answers to questions you may have along the way. I can guarantee you that at some point or another someone at sometime has or had the same feelings you are questioning. We're just a bunch of former smokers helping other smokers quit and stay quit !!!!
