Give and get support around quitting
Hello All,
I have fallen off the wagon big time
I went to Reno on vacation and now I smoke more than the 3 cigs a day
My lungs hurt and I have gain back 5 pounds.
Not to mention all the alcohol .... wow, I just lost it and engaged in every demon I had been battling.
So I will start chantix again for 2 weeks to get a head start, back to the patch, and withdrawal.
My Dr will probably want to start me back on the Wellbutrin too.
I am so angry with myself.......

YOU GOT THIS !!!
I'm sure Reno has been a catalyst for many a failed quit. Although, interestingly, Reno was one of places where EX had a reunion - and nobody lit up. There's a group called Relapse Prevention. A great place for education and keeping oneself on course. As has been stated weekly on here, booze and cigarettes tend to go together, so it's wise to refrain from drinking until one has some smoke-free time under their belt.
Glad you're getting back on the horse. Best to set that quit date sooner than later. Later can turn into years.
my new quit date is next Monday. I will start chantix for a week, then move
to Wellbutrin and patch.
Seemed like Chantix really worked for up to a month, then the side effects
became too much

Monday next. Good. That will give you a whole week to read, contemplate, and prepare.
Can't blame you for being disappointed in yourself, even though it does no good to beat yourself up. Sometimes guilt is a good thing if it brings about change. What can you do differently to keep that quit?
pktabron Really sorry to hear this but you know what went wrong so you certainly can avoid it happening again. We are here...unfortunately, we were not in Reno.
Looking forward to seeing you back here.
Ellen
Thank you Elvan.
yeah being back home and thinking about the relapse and how it WAS SO NOT WORTH IT.
Buyer's remorse. You can do this, just put it behind you.

Ok I have set my new date to May 7threading and re-reading all this week, mentally prepare again
