NML & Inbetweener Weekly Check In - 3/19/2018

We do this blog every Monday to offer encouragement and camaraderie to those in No Man’s Land -- months 2-3-4 of a quit and for those somewhere in-between who have less than 1 year of a quit. Regardless of how long you’ve been quit, anyone who likes the conversation and wants to offer support is welcome to participate!

*********************************************

This week’s topic: Getting to know your fellow NMLers and In-betweeners!

  1. What TV show is your quilty pleasure?
  2. What show have you binged watched embarrassingly fast?
  3. What is your favorite smell and why?

I have a favor to ask...I will not be able to post the weekly check in next Monday.  Would someone be willing to take it over for next week?  Because it is a discussion, I am not able to set up the post early and have it scheduled to post next Monday.  Please and thank you! - Roller

Please let me know if you are interested in posting the NML Weekly Check In.  I am happy to continue it, share it, or pass it to the nEXt EXer in NML who is ready, willing, and able.

I don't know why I missed this yesterday!  I'm here, with my 85 days.

My favorite guilty pleasure TV show is Supernatural.  Sam and Dean, saving the world.

And I love sandalwood.  (Mental note:  buy more candles)

Sorry I know it is not Monday  -I just found this group NML  this morning. I am excited because I have read a lot about   People losing their quit date in NML and its  scary because I really don’t want to loose mine at 84 days.  I read all I can about NML on this site. A read one yesterday and there is a goat in it and it made me laugh. I still am having trouble navigating through this whole website, but I’m learning slowly. Still trying to figure out how to post pictures in the blogs.

My favorite TV shows to binge on is Supernatural also.

Sounds to me like you're doing just fine.  We find what we need when we need it, I believe.  Click on the camera icon to post photos.

Another Sam and Dean fan??  AWESOME.

Checking in to NML  with 89 days of freedom.

~ I like Supernatural also-My friend who is on the journey of no cigarettes likes binge watching it also.

~ favorite smell, fresh mowed grass.

I am still really really crabby and irritable.

I sure hope this passes when I get out of NML.

Check out the idea of "mindfulness"...sometimes just sitting and staring at something beautiful or interesting can change a mood.

"Mindfulness" and a little "Minimalism" really helped me out in the beginning of my smoke free life....

AnnetteMM's suggestion is spot on....

It's kinda just "being" and not over processing or really even thinking..... A form of day dreaming without any particular topic in mind.....Sort of like "zoning out"...

As far as  Minimalism is concerned, once I "cleansed" my house and my life of the STENCH of cigarettes I felt so good that I got rid of not only ashtrays, etc but other items that were just "there" serving no real purpose or memory anymore.....

A fresh start..................Ahhhhhhhhhhh with a clean and clear smoke free breath..

Smiles...
