By resetting you are keeping yourself honest and true to N.O.P.E. again!  I agree with all who say reset!

I love that I can honestly say I have never taken one puff since day WON!

You can do it!  Everyone appreciates the honesty, that is what's so good about this site!

You were honest you came here. It means you need our help you got it. Don’t keep smokes around. You need to give yourself a chance to stop breathe drink ice water etc. and say NOPE. Smoking didn’t change anything good. It never does. I want to run out but I stop and get in control. If the were nearby I may have failed. 42 days today still get cravings especially when stressed. Smoking doesn’t help stress. Joins us  you can do this NOPE reset you can do this. We believe in you

"Reset".....remember our cravings consist of the addiction to Nicotine and the constant withdrawal cycle each time you inhale the poison. No matter what issues occur in your life,  know that a cigarette has absolutely NO EFFECT on the outcome of your circumstances. All it did was temporarily make you believe that you had some relief from your emotional discomfort. But in reality it only made things worse. Was it worth the 3 or 5 minutes of puffing? Did the cigarette change anything for the better under the circumstances? Head up and stay strong

"should I reset my data ?"  Yes.  You honor yourself and the other members here by re-setting your clock.

A couple of blogs and responses that may help you make up your own mind about it:

You spelled out what happened, so now you know a lot more about you and your smoking than you did a few days ago. Resetting is important for accuracy, but making up your mind to deal with this kind of problem differently next time (as in not smoking and...) is utterly important. This won't be the last time you get mad or frustrated. I hear you--I had to walk through a few volcanic blasts of my own. But learning to deal with busted feelings is part of life, part of quitting. Thanks for blogging.

Absolutely re-set. You will never feel right about it if you don't. You will always know in the back of your mind the truth, truth always wins in my book.

Glad you blogged. So very glad you were strong enough to come and share and that your going to set a new date! You have all my support!

I fail to see what purpose resetting the quit days serves.  Isn't that just like saying "you failed, game over, insert a token and try again"?  I thought we supported and helped new ex-ers.  Resetting can be more of a detriment than a help in some cases. Just my penny's worth.
