NML Weekly Check In–11/16/2017–A Day Late but NOT a Dollar Short

I am so sorry I am late with the weekly check in!  I was attending a seminar for work yesterday and could not get onto a computer!

We have this discussion every Wednesday to offer encouragement and camaraderie to those in NML, basically months 2-3-4 of a quit. Regardless of how long you’ve been quit, anyone who likes the conversation and wants to offer support is welcome to participate!

We are happy if you just stop by to say hi and let us know you are still with us in NML.  Feel free to offer up ideas on topic question and I will include them in next week’s post!  Stop by daily or as often as you like!  Don’t forget to post to the Daily Pledge!

Checking in here will help you get through NML and on your way to the first year where you can celebrate being in the 6% Club and graduate to eventually become an Elder!

Please let me know if you are interested in posting the NML Weekly Check In.  I am happy to continue it, share it, or pass it to the nEXt EXer in NML who is ready, willing, and able.

if we break down and cry
Somehow the tree gets stronger

roller831‌ Thank you for keeping this going. I appreciate your time and effort.

I've been going through a difficult time recently. It has been such a powerful thing to release the emotions and cry. It has empowered me. After years and years of suppressing my feelings in a cloud of smoke, allowing myself the opportunity to feel again has made me stronger.

Nicotine tricks the brain into thinking you feel better but all smoking does prevent the unpleasant withdrawal symptoms.

Staying strong at 121 smoke free.

That is a big part of NML!  You are getting used to the fact you don't smoke and are now learning how to deal with the things you covered up by smoking!  You are doing great!  Keep it up!

Where are all of our NMLers!  Thanksgiving is this week for those of us in the US.  Be careful not to let holiday triggers set you off!  Being with family can be stressful and you may be dealing with it for the first time in a long time without sickarettes!  Make sure to ask for help if you need it!
