Chest tightness/pressure

Hi, I've been smoke free for 24 hours and started feeling severe tightness in my chest but I can't pinpoint exactly where it's coming from. Is this normal?

Hello guys, it's been a while since I last logged in. Since I last logged in on July 1, I've had a couple of instances where one cigarette led to one-too-many. However, something changed this time. I became more self-aware of what I was doing to my body. I focused my energy in exercise and healthy eating, and happy to inform I'm 4 weeks smoke free.

Reading and learning from other exes has helped me a lot. Thank you!

Great Job! You are entering No Man's Land! Read up and know what is next! We're all busy but we found time for our addiction - find time for your recovery! Keep stacking those days!

RHRS‌, It is really good to hear from you, I am happy that you have been smoke free for 4 weeks now.  DO read about NML as Thomas suggested and look at roller831‌'s weekly blog for those IN NML.  It is really eye opening.  This IS a journey, it is one day at a time and we have to live with NOPE, Not One Puff Ever.  It is SO important...it is vital to our survival.

Glad you are back, stay close to the site, come every day, it helps...even if you are just reading blogs or commenting.  If you had blogged "HELP" before you smoked, you may have never taken that first puff.  We are here to help.  Please remember that.

Ellen
