Fitbits and other trackers.......Who uses?

Hello!

How many of you are using a Fitbit or other tracker to see how active you are?

I have been using my religiously for 3 years.  Even though I was a smoker, I did workout.

Since quitting smoking (on day 26) my resting heart rate has dropped from approximately 72 to 59 consistently.

This really makes me feel good about quitting.

I would love to hear your stories.

Congratulations on 26 days and on your great attitude.  I don't use a fit bit...never have but I am thinking of getting one, it's just not at the top of my list.

My resting pulse rate is about 60...I do have an oximeter and I also take my pulse the old fashioned way.

Sorry late getting on here. I am behind reading but trying to catch up. Congratulations on now 28 days and sounds like you are doing great.  I didn't exercise too much before my quit because with activity I would cough so hard I felt like I was coughing a lung up.I was on the border of having to wear oxygen 24/7. My first day of my quit every time I thought of smoking I would walk up and down my hall. Then when that got easy I started the treadmill and have been exercising since. I went from walking the hall and now I am able to do 3 mile walks.  When I quit I refused to go to food as I was already way over weight so I would grab my water bottle with straw for my fix and go walk. I actually lost weight in the beginning of my quit. The greatest thing is I can now breathe easily, my oxygen sats stay up in high 90's and my resting heart rate is now in the 60's (in the beginning 90-100 was my rest HR). I use my phone to track my activity when I am outside walking and do check my HR before, during and after.  I also am in the Get MOving Challenge that Giulia mentioned and has definitely really motivated me more. You are sounding good, stay true to you and strong with your commitment.
