Give and get support around quitting

Are you new here?

Just signed up because you really want to quit?  Tired of being tired of smoking.  Do you have that cough that just won’t go away? Sick of smelling like a smoke stack.  Tired of burning your hard earned dollars? Doctor says stop or die?

You have come to the right place!

Afraid?  Nervous?  Worried?  Don’t be.  You have come to the right place!  Start right now by taking a deep breath of sigh of relief.  In fact, breathing is one of the best medicines for quit smoking.  Try it.  Breathe Deep.

Just a few words of encouragement.  Let me start by saying don’t give up and don't give in before you get started.    With a NO MATTER WHAT not to smoke attitude you can do this.   NOPE stands for NOT ONE PUFF EVER.  Stop just thinking about it, commit, you can do this if you are willing.  It is not about luck or hope.  You have to be willing to do whatever is necessary not to smoke.  Sing, dance, laugh, talk, cry, vent, blog, we are here for you.  Stay connected and feel free to ask for help.  It is very important to read the suggested material to learn about nicotine addiction and how to overcome it. Education is the key to success even in quitting smoke.  Start first, by educating yourself about nicotine addiction.  Read: Freedom from Nicotine My Journey Home and Nicotine Addiction 101

Here are the links: http://whyquit.com/whyquit/LinksAAddiction.html   and http://whyquit.com/ffn/

I also encourage you to read. Allen Carr’s book, “Easy Easier Way to Quit Smoking”.

Stay close, don't give in and never give up.

Remember…SINAO smoking is not an option

Not new here - but very good advise Jackie for those who are new here.  Seems to be more activity from new members lately and that is a good thing!

Great advice. Thank you for your support and encouragement. I can not believe the amount of reinforcement I received from everyone here. My first day I thought I was losing my mind, but the people on this site gave me the strength to continue.

I love this blog!  You should send it to all the newbies, if you already don't.  Thanks for the great information.
