Not about quitting smoking but something else that many fixate on, weight.

Microbes, Inflammation, and Obesity

Our society is and has been much of my lifetime, consumed with diets and weight loss.  Some people diet 100% of their life still and gain weight.

The link below describes new studies linking gut microbes to how much energy from food actually goes into your system and how this affects all functions of your system and weight gain.

They've found that transferring gut bacteria from lean people to obese people causes positive changes in the obese person.

Fascinating stuff

WOW, my brother has been telling me this for YEARS.  He is not overweight, never has been but he has constantly changed his diet to get more energy and to feel better.  He is currently gluten free and he sticks to it like his life depends on it.  He says he wishes he had done it years ago because he has so much more energy and feels so much healthier. He has told me repeatedly that health is dependent upon the gut.  It really is fascinating.
