Answer to last week's Trivia Question: Thomas Jefferson's face is on the Two Dollar Bill.
"The U.S. Treasury has been printing $2 bills since 1862, although the bills initially featured Alexander Hamilton. Our third president, Thomas Jefferson, replaced Hamilton on the $2 in 1869. According to the U.S. Treasury, it’s not clear why Jefferson was chosen for the bill — no records were ever kept explaining the decision. There are about a billion $2 bills now in circulation, which represents only 3% of the total volume of banknotes in the U.S. More are printed every few years, based on demand. However, the $2 bill has always lagged in usage behind its more popular sibling, the $1 bill, even if it’s not entirely clear why. In one survey, about 2% of the population associated the bills with bad luck."
