Day 11

Im feeling pretty good so far just a bit more tired than before..exercise is still in the new routine, pleanty of water and healthier foods..but from what I have been told and have read is that in the beginning you become more fatigue because you're brain is like rewiring it's self..makes sense I always smoked it was a part of my everyday routine and now I have to get a hobby

Congrats on your 11 days! I go back and read some of my old blogs sometimes just to remind myself of the journey my quitting has been, one of the things I remember vividly writing about is how tired I was, for at least the first 3 weeks. I would be in bed and asleep by 8 every evening. I looked at it this way, if I'm sleeping: I'm not craving and can't possibly smoke The fatigue will pass. Keep working out, it's the best thing you can do for your body right now (next to staying true to your quit of course!)

I, too, was overly tired.  It was explained to me that the body is working overtime in the background to try to heal itself from all the damage we did to it by smoking.  If you are not used to exercising, that could add to your fatigue, as well.

It's just part of the process.  Get as much as you can; nap if you can.  No harm in it at all!

I also felt very tired the 1st few weeks. Just sleep when you can because you are right-Can't smoke while you're sleeping.

So glad that you are thinking this through...there is nothing wrong with napping.  It's one of my favorite hobbies.

I think also part of the being tired syndrome is it takes a lot of work to fight off cravings all day long in the beginning.  It's mentally exhausting that back and forth dialogue we all go through with ourselves.  And curling up in bed is a great way to sleep through it.  I think that's why many simply take to their beds and hide out or maybe hibernate until they get to the next level.  I suspect the 'foggy brain" syndrome is our brain just shutting down from the sheer exhaustion of it all.

But you've got 11 days under your belt.  And yes, find a hobby.  Check out Origami.  Not expensive, but fun.  There are endless youtube instructions.  Try it!
