Give and get support around quitting

Oh the pain

Yesterday morning, hubby and I had some chores to do around the property...it's a massive 2.5 acre property with two Airbnb's on it...one of them is a giant canvas glamping tent.  Well, it needed to be washed and re-waterproofed for the winter, a task that I've been dreading for the last 2 months. The countdown to that chore was almost worse than the Quit Date Countdown, I'm not even kidding.  This tent is massive, around 120 square feet inside and 16' in diameter. We were going to take it to the laundromat and stuff it inside an 80lb washing machine. Hubby said 'no problem, easy'...we started the work and almost immediately, my low back went on strike, refusing to do the job. I managed to hobble around most of the day trying to help where I could, but this was some serious pain. We (he) managed to get the tent back up, but I was down for the count. I am still down today and thankfully have some leftover pain killers from some other painful incident a while back. This is all I can think of, so I guess it's a blessing in disguise? Lemons into lemonade, as they say. Off to some binge watching, thank you for all of the encouragement. If anyone is the praying type, I could use some.

So sorry for your pain.  I have had more of it in the past six years than I care to describe.  REST until it feels better!  And - don't do anything resembling what you did yesterday again.  We aren't as flexible as we were as youngsters  - fact of life!

Feel better - and don't puff!!!

So sorry about your back, as someone who lives with chronic back pain, I know how debilitating it is and what a disappointment it is when I can't accomplish things.  Rest, try alternating heat and ice and when you are better, do some low back strengthening exercises.  Strengthening the core helps, I have a TENS unit that I swear helps me, I tend to use it when I am really uncomfortable.

Feel better, saying prayers for a full and fast recovery.
