Tuna Casserole?

I haven't had it in 50 years but it came to mind this morning.

Some recipes use french fried onions on top

Some say bread crumbs.

Some use Parmesan cheese and some use cheddar

Some use soup and mayonnaise, some use soup only.

Some use cream of chicken soup, some use cream of mushroom, one used cream of onion.

Some use peas, others do not.

What's your favorite recipe?

Not in love with tuna casserole but will eat it if forced. There's just something about a hot fish casserole that I can't take. Love fish just not in a casserole.

why do you think it's been 50 years since I've had it?

My brother and I nearly lost it whenever my mother made tuna casserole...both of us hated cream of mushroom soup AND warm tuna.  I can't remember the last time I made it but I do remember that I used cream of celery soup.

Cream of mushroom soup, little bit of milk, NO PEAS! Butter and breadcrumbs on top.

Cream of M/room, 1C mayo, heaped teaspoon curry powder, a looooong squeeze of lemon juice all mixed with tuna, chopped onion, corn, peas, cooked pasta.

Butter, breadcrumbs, cheddar on top

Last time was about 17 years ago - why can't I forget the recipe??

Oh my gosh, I used to like that, Cream of celery soup, no peas.  Sometime I should make it!!

Must be about 40 years.
