      I haven't eaten salads at home for years. The reason is my refrigerator doesn't keep salad ingredients well after they've been prepared. After I've had one salad, the rest of the ingredients go bad. I haven't had it in 50 years but it came to mind this morning. Some recipes use french fried onions on top Some say bread crumbs. Some use Parmesan cheese and some use cheddar Some use soup and mayonnaise, some use soup only. Some use cream of chicken soup, some use cream of mushroom, one used cream of onion.
