.As humans, however big or small we often give ourselves credit for our accomplishments    Of course, all honor and glory are to God for the challenges in life we have been able to meet. Quitting smoking is a vice/addiction that needs to remove from our lifestyle if we walk in the truth.  Smoking is that cloud that taunts our mind and inner being.  Our bodies are the temple of God and our conscience lets us know that we fall short when we continue to smoke.

Or do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and you are not your own?  I Corinthians 6:19

Quitting smoking is a challenge that we can meet.  As Christians, we realize that we do not, can not make it on our own. Early in my quit I often recited this scripture which has been with me for avery long time. It can give you strength, comfort and build your courage

I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. Philippians 4:13

It is easy to learn.  Recite it when you are going through a rough time. Read scripture it will help you through this journey. It will make a difference.  While you are on this quit smoking journey,

Know, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. For I am sure that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord. Romans 8 37:39

Summation:

Through Christ all things are possible.  Never give up.   Pray that you will make it. Believe that you can and you will.  Trust in God, know that you are a conqueror of this addiction

Amen.

Remember not the former things, nor consider the things of old.  Behold, I am doing a new thing, now it springs forth, do you not perceive it?  I will make a way in the wilderness and the rivers in the desert.

Isaiah 43:18-19

Brothers, I do not consider that I have made it my own. But one thing I do: forgetting what lies behind and straining forward to what lies ahead, I press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.

Philippians 3:13-14

Amen
