What is a Group Admin?
Group Admins (short for Administrators) are Community members who manage Group(s) within the EX Community.
Group Admins will be responsible for moderation, upkeep, and civility of the group they manage. They will work alongside the BecomeAnEX Community Manager(s). Admins will be required to complete a training so they are aware of the tools available to them.
Why Have Group Admins?
We want to have thriving Groups to help EXers quit and stay quit. The Groups on the community benefit from having leaders. Group Admins make sure their group is engaged in discussion and supporting other members of the Group.
We want groups to be successful in the EX community. We've found that over the past few years, due to the community software we were using, Groups were becoming inefficient and not as successful as they had been in the past in helping people find them, and have them as places for ongoing support.
Who Can Be a Group Admin?
To ensure that Groups have as many resources to help them succeed as possible we've consolidated some groups that were very similar, and we have a new group request process.
Whether you were previously a group owner using the old platform, or whether you are brand new to the community, everyone has the opportunity to lead a Group.
Every Group will be managed at least by the EX Community Manager. Groups can have more than one Community member as a Group Admin.
We're asking a few simple things of you if you are interested in leading a group:
