I think right now it IS a bit more difficult to find the positives - but I work at it every day. The sun is shining today and for that I am grateful! Going to hang my wash outside, and I will be thankful to sleep in sun and breeze kissed jammies tonight. I have hurt myself doing too much, which just makes me angry with me - but I will be grateful I have a lovely yard in which to sit and read, or do a crossword as I mend. The work I still have to do really CAN wait (as I say it over and over to myself!!!).
The rain will help your flowers bloom!
Try to be take it easy so you can mend this rain is disappointing but it's much better than over a foot of snow I overdid it yesterday too filling the wheelbarrow with gravel filling some holes in around the yard ugh but I did enjoy hanging my laundry out and snuggling in fresh jammies and bedding that sure is positive.
This is such a timely and GREAT blog. It truly is hard to find the positives currently with the Pandemic, the weather changes....and well...everything.
This blog is a reminder that a rainbow is there..its just camouflaged. Waiting it out can make us appreciate the betters times all the much more.
Oh, my, I am SO sorry you are missing these months with the little guy! Thank GOD for digital cameras, and the internet.
Hard to accept, I know, but it could be so much worse. I think about the loved ones of those in the world wars, praying every day for a word from them and praying, too, not to get a knock on the door.
He is beyond adorable! Can't wait for your report that you are cuddling with that little guy! I know it will be worth the wait!
Thank you Marilyn, love the new avatar, and it is the perfect picture for being positive; you are smiling, with your face, your body posture, even your sunglasses are smiling! Thank you for the message, uplifting as always!
And YoungAtHeart, please get the rest you deserve, and the work can wait; you can always do it in small tasks, and enjoy the beautiful weather. I hope soon the pools will open in your area, and you can go and exercise in the water!
Because my right knee does not want to let me walk any serious distance, this year I had to get in the pool much sooner than any prior year. But that is my positive of every day for the last week or so: 30 min of getting in the pool since last weekend (you all remember the hole I was in last week by this time); so I am making swimming a priority and a positive
Oh how I wish to be in the water. They've already announced all public pools in Nashville are to stay closed all summer.
Guess I'll try to continue horizontal running & bed dancing sitting up but most days I can barely sit up. So frustrating.
But I'm no longer wheezing all the time. And my O2 has been staying at 97/98. It was usually around 90/91.
And found out I'm going to have a 9th grandbaby around Thanksgiving.
Hopefully things be better by then so I can be there.
Karen
I am sorry Karen Kdot1st, I did not read it right before I gave you the like. Good for you that you practice the horizontal running (which I am going to look up cause I don't know what it is), happy for the O2 levels though, and congrats on your 9th grandbaby!
Good Morning Marilyn. There are many positives and thinking about them helps tune out the negatives.
I for one am grateful for another day, no matter what that will bring.
Great blog, lady. We all need to be reminded to be positive these days, it is so easy to slide into the black hole of despair.
Kdot1st congratulations on the newest grandchild coming! How wonderful. Your oxygen sats are very impressive, good for you.
Ellen
As always, a fantastic post MarilynH I also send you healing thoughts Youngatheart.7.4.12 Blog and also Cousin-Itt I send positive vibes that this whole mess will be over soon and you'll get to snuggle that fast-growing and adorable grandson of yours and Kdot1st Congratulations on the coming of a new grandchild AND suggest you post a learning blog on horizontal running and bed dancing for those of us who are limited in physical exercise options due to age and/or physical limitations (possibly in large print?), and the reminders from all to remain thankful for the blessings we do have in our lives.
