I quit 72 days ago. I still feel worse then I did when I smoked. I have more skin problems. I feel like I am always sick. I can not take a deep breath at all now. I am so tired and have zero energy. I thought by now I would start feeling a little better, not worse.
Welcome leannelilley73! I am sorry you are still feeling yucky. I have seen some posts where uses have shared kind of the "what to expect" over certain time periods. My last quit about a year ago almost went 70 days and I still had fatigue, gum pain, and increased skin issues along the way. I am at 11 days currently on the new quit. I have experienced some flu-like symptoms off and on (body aches, headaches, hot/ cold chills, and fatigue). I have been reminded here that these are all left-over symptoms we have when we had been smoking. I have drank much more water this quit, which I do feel has significantly lessened those symptoms and made them more manageable. I am also taking vitamins and trying to eat a healthy balanced diet. That said, if you are able to, a check-up with your physician is never a bad idea!
