You don't have to have been a smoker.
I saw this on the news yesterday.
They were interviewing a non smoker who said she had a pain in her back after carrying bags of potting soil. She went to her Dr. and found she had stage 4 lung cancer.

It's very very sad.
I smoked outside at home, in my truck, and at my jobsites until we reached the insulation stage..
My daughter didn't know I smoked until she was 15.

This is not news to me I lost my mom she just turned 56. I watched my moms best friend lose have her neck due to cancer of the voice box. I could go on and on about Cancer Death Sticks!
It does not change our minds for many of us smokers to quit.
sad reality.
It's so sad. I worry about my oldest daughter who worked as a restaurant manager and bartender for years and years when smoking was allowed inside. SHE also smoked so she inhaled her own smoke and the smoke of all of her patrons. My father quit smoking many years before he was diagnosed with lung cancer. It may have come from any number of sources, he went through radiation treatments but died of a heart attack two days after they were completed.
I sang 5 hours a night in large venues where 400-800 people were all smoking for a few years.
You know, it was so common for people to smoke EVERYWHERE, I just don't want to contribute to the cause of lung cancer, asthma, or any other debilitating disease any more and that's enough for MY quit.
I know. One of my best friends is dying from lung cancer. She never smoked but she was a social worker who went into homes of smokers for over 20 years. That could play a part in it, the doctors have said. Smokers kill others as well as themselves.
