Pir8fan (Tommy) is in need of our prayers. He is having some heart issues and is being hospitalized. A heart cath is probably needed. I will keep you up to date on this blog.

Thank you to all who send up knee mail and good wishes! Even those who do not know me (yet)! We are indeed family here, and all of us benefit from each other's strength! Thank you all for the "Collateral Kindness"
i will have a cardiac cath tomorrow, and heal up in time to leave on a 7 Day Cruise on Saturday!!

Okay, I will try commenting for the third time in three hours! Tommy, I am sure the docs will do a great job at getting you off to your cruise. You haven't missed a cruise yet. (Now, on the last two comments, I've also included a photo of when you, Teddy and I went to her play and had dinner together. For some reason, those comments appeared for a few minutes and then disappeared. I don't understand why, and the answers to my question to Admin doesn't seem to indicate that it was a "moderation" issue...so I will just try to post this comment again without the photo from West Palm Springs and see if it goes...
Love you, Tommy. So does everyone else on EX. And in the world!!

Really want to thank everyone for the prayers and good wishes!
I will have a Cardiac Cath today! I am #4 on the list unless I get bumped for an emergency! I guess that means I am not an emergency! Of course the only minor medical procedure is the one someone else has!
I have the best nurses ever for this trip! A number of staff has stopped to see me, and one of my nurses just ask if I know everybody! That may not be a good thing! To much time here!
Hopefully, I can report good news later today! Love to all ❤️! Tommy

(Updated: somehow I missed your earlier post about the cath today. Hope it goes/went well and there were no bumps!)
He is going to be ok. Small arteries is what was causing the pain. It will be home with meds. They are keeping him another night to monitor him.
Thank you so much for the update...trip is on then, right? I am so happy for him...for ALL of us.
Ellen
OK! Could have been better, coud have been a lot worse! They are keeping me another night! Blood pressure has spiked, probably due to steroids used combat the dye used in the cath! Also want watch my kidney through the night! Pain seems to be from small artery disease! Many are clogged and there is no way to clean them out! Will try to slow clogging with med!
Thank to all who have offered support! Love to all as well ❤️

I am home! Thank you again for all your prayers and well wishes and support! I am out of the hospital! Had great nursing care but I really did not like being there! Never have! So many of their policies make no sense! I will not elaborate, but continue to believe that hospitals are no place for sick people!!
Now I have a couple of days to relax and heal before the cruise! The bad news is that I will not be able to go into the ocean or pool for the first few days! The Cath was inserted through an incision in my groin! I am not allowed to submerge that until the scab is gone! Really want to float around in the ocean at the private island, but it is not worth the risk! I keep telling myself that!
Again, thanks to all! Live free my friends! Live Smoke Free! Tommy
I'm so glad you are home, Tommy. You are absolutely right about hospitals. Studies have proven that most hospitals are rampant with germs and bacteria. Not because they don't clean enough. But because all the sick people bring that stuff with them. So it stands to reason that sick people (who have a lower resistance anyway) are likely to get MORE sick from all the viruses and germs that the other sick people are bringing with them. It's like a Germ Pot Luck party! The private island will be much safer!

pir8fan You have an absolutely amazing time. Sorry you won't be floating around in the ocean or the pool for the first few days...you absolutely need to protect yourself.
You know that our love and prayers will be with you. Keep us in the loop, Tommy!
