Why are discussions being displayed with odd characters?

I sent Mark a message about it.

There is now a message at the top of the home page - they are aware of it and they are working to get it removed.

It was some spam from Korea and Philippines.  It's been largely removed. If you see anything anywhere. Just click on the Actions button below comment (if comment/reply)  or Actions button to the upper right of page (if first post).  Then select Report Abuse and then select Spam from drop down. Then submit it. I'll get a notification and check it out.
