How do I reduce the email notifications?

Ok luvs u guys have been great. I needed some support to get me going and I did find it here. I got sick I have been slammed keeping myself busy the last 2-3 weeks. Well, talk about a craving, I got on my email which I said I dont want from this site and guess what I had to sift through over 4000 that would be right four thousand all from this site.. as much as I appreciate the help I now have to spend the majority of my day, which is money to me... time equals money people. So all I have saved not smoking I just lost and then some having to delete and go through emails..  I really want a smoke now. Thanks for the extra work how do i get out of this thing??

Here is one more good luck on your quit

Click on the drop down arrow by your avatar - then on preferences - click no to the option to receive emails (first question)

For those already there, above the list of e-mails is a tab "Mark all read."  Click on that, then confirm that is what you want to do.  They will then be backgrounded and not yell at you to read all of them!  If I am limited on time, I usually do a first run through to look for any private e-mail messages, if anyone has been kind enough to leave a badge for me, then check to see if anyone has commented on any of my written blogs, then usually delete the rest (sorry, folks - but sometimes I can't read all the comments on all the blogs I have commented on!).  Reading them all (when I have the time) is a good way to learn about others' experiences and helps me help others

Wow, I received emails at first, but never had that many.  As said above, just turn off the preference to receive them.  Glad your still here and not smoking.

You can adjust your mail preferences. I checked to see who you follow and didn't see anything that seemed out of the ordinary so you must be subscribed to a busy thread.

You can unfollow a busy topic/thread by going to the post and then finding Actions > and uncheck the box for Follow and Inbox. This will help you stop getting messages from busy threads as long as you don't comment on them again. To see a list of topics you follow go here. Then follow steps from three sentences above.
