100 days-1

Posted by vanlil Sep 25, 2016

Tomorrow 9/26 I will be celebrating 100 days being smoke free.  Unbelievable but I continue to work on being grateful for this happening.  I am very happy..............and someone said to be awhile back that I sounded like a HAPPY QUITTER.

Craves are far from over but I DO NOT WANT TO SMOKE.  Watching my weight and I seem to be winning with that too.

ONE DAY AT A TIME.............and I am grateful.

New findings for me

Posted by vanlil Sep 12, 2016

Well I found out my system can not tolerate sugar free candy. Made me have horrible diarhea..............Trying so hard not to gain weight............I can't eat lots of fruits or veggies either because of a bowel condition.  Right now it s watermelton and more watermelon.

It isn't the cravings as much as the hand to mouth habit I think.  I really don't think about smoking because I don't want to smoke anymore.  Been doing a lot of fun reading and not obsessed with house cleaning like I use to be. Sort of geared down which is a good thing.  Only 85 days today and I know i have a LOT of relearning to do.  Good thing that I do not feel discouraged or getting the "poor me's."

Day 80

Posted by vanlil Sep 6, 2016

Today is day 80 for not smoking cigarettes............yeah.  I feel clean and healthyand thrilled.  BUT HOLY COW - this past weekend was a "bear."  Got through it but just barely.  I didn't want to smoke but I felt like a "hole in the donut." Just strange - so I imagine it was cravings.   I got the weight under control for now..........with my gut problem I get miserbly uncomfortable if I overeat.  But watermelon has been my latest munch food. Really enjoy it. I am still using the lozenges but cut down considerably.  I just don't think I am ready to stop using NRT yet.  Is that wrong for me to still be on lozenges after 80 days?
