3 Years and still going strong

On Feb. 13,2012, I finally quit smoking. I smoked for over 40 years and finally I had enough of it.  That was the only time I quit and its been my forever quit.  Like all you people here, it was with this site that I maintained it.  There are so many people that I know that tried and failed and I really think it has been this sight that keeps you going.. I got an e-mail telling me that it was 3 years since I quit. Wow, that was great. So I came back here and read some of the blogs and I want to tell you folks that you can do this.  I sure didn't think I could but I did and you will too.

About 9 monthes after I quit, I had a stroke.  I was in the hospitol for 5 days and during that time I wasn't able to talk or for that matter, think much.  I am now better and I can at least write all this.. If  you folks read my past posts you'll see how much I have progressed.  During that time I have been busy with Playing games and doing all I can to get my speech back.  It has definately worked.  I'm not really back to where I want to be but I'm so much better.  I have gone back to my job and quit it.  But you know I didn't smoke.  Got another job  just for XMAS and quit that too.  But thats ok and I'm sure not going to smoke over it. Right now I'm home because this winter has been horrible, So I will try in March or April to get another job. But you know I'm busy taking my son to school and back and then to his job, and trying to run a household with 6 people in it and we can't forget gramma downstairs. Definitly enough to keep me busy!!

Thats part of my story and the rest is in front of me. And thats just where it should be.  Loved that blog about the story.
