Hello my Ex family,

I am still going strong I have reached the 18 month mark of being smoke free!!! Sorry I have been a little MIA lately on this site...2019 has really made me sit down and reflect on my life and why 18 months ago was so important for me to make that decision to quit smoking because God was preparing me in advance for 2019 this year my son gave me the news that I will become a Grandpa to a grandson in August 2019 my first grand child and two weeks later I receive the news from my daughter that she as well is expecting and I will become a Grandpa again to a granddaughter coming in November 2019...A Grandson and a Granddaughter this year wow I'm so happy and emotional right now I am literally shaking right now writing this update for you guys  I understand why now 18 months ago was so important and the best decision that I made to quit smoking...now I can enjoy my two bundles of joy smoke free!!!And my kids tell me jokingly so Dad it took the grandkids coming for you to give up smoking for good!!! So that's a little update on me I hope you all are doing well and working your programs to stay smoke free have a wonderful weekend.

Blessings,

-Ralph☺

Hello Everyone,

First of all I would like to wish everyone a happy healthy and smoke free New year 2019☺Well as of 1-1-2019 it is set in stone I have made it to one full year smoke free☺It has been an interesting past year I have learned alot about myself and it pulled out the best in me and I have seen strengths that I didn't even know I had but also has tested me in areas in which it was a clear reminder in why quiting smoking is not easy thing. So some words of encouragement to all those people who on the first of January began their journey to freedom you can do this it will not be easy but you can do this I have faith in you and so do everyone on this site who has been where you are.Stay close to this site do your research read read and read I can't stress enough how important that part is to educate yourself on letiure on smoking and how harmful it is to your body even if you don't talk on here get on here and read..have a back up plan when craving set in things that help me was a lot of journaling writing about how you feel on paper cross word puzzle coloring books reading novels listening to soft relaxing music listening on YouTube to motivational speakers having some healthy snacks at home like carrot sticks celery stick and peanut butter apple slices etc and also it is real important to reward yourself on your accomplishments one week one month 2 months and so on something simple like going to get a ice cream cone treating yourself to see a movie buying yourself something nice like a nice t shirt a blouse a wallet a purse things like that I decided to go cold turkey with out any smoking aid but that worked for me I don't recommend doing that because everyone is different so if you need a smoking aid please use one!!!! So here are some tips that really helped me to successfully make it to one year smoke free I hope this is a help for you...you can do this!!!

I send everyone positive vibes and hugs,

Keeping working your programs to stay smoke free.

Keep pressing on,

-Ralph☺

Hello everyone,

I hope everyone is enjoying their weekend.I have been quit since 1-1-2018 and as I tried to quit many times before and failed I feel that this quit is different because I have changed my way of thinking and attitude about this quit as before I lacked this main character in trying to quit. Now I know I am very fresh and early in my quit and have a long way to go and there are still many things to be learned.I may not talk much or respond to things on here but I do come on this site regularly and read people's post and blogs and I would like to say thank you to everyone on this site for giving me the courage strength and motivation to stay quit you all play a main role in helping me stay quit I would not be were I am today with out everyone and this site....positive thinking and a positive attitude works wonders in staying quit...I send everyone positive energy, vibes and hugs keep working your program to stay quit.

Hello everyone,

After a busy crazy month of February I can finally stop by this site and give a little up date...my mom started off the month of February getting sick with a high fever cough chills and congested so bad that she could hardly breath so before it turned in to something worse I took her to the doctor's to have her check out they gave her a couple of shots antibiotics and cough syrup so when I was trying to get my mom feeling better I ended up getting the exact symptoms that she had so I ended up going to see the doctor and they. told me that I have came down with pneumonia so my mom and I spent

basically the whole past month sick finally feeling better after all that craziness and kaos I have made it another month not smoking 60 days smoke free I still have a long way to go but little by little taking things a day at a time....I tried to register for the freedom train and have my milestones celebrated but I guess when trying to register I am doing something wrong so in the meantime tell I figure it out and register the right way I will be giving up dates like this...I wish everyone a wonderful weekend and keep working your program to stay smoke free...I send everyone positive energy vibes and hugs and keep pressing on.

41 days smoke free☺

Posted by ralphaguilar16 Feb 11, 2018

Hello everyone,

I hope everyone is having a wonderful weekend.Today marks 41 days smoke free for me I am now starting to notice little things from the benefits of not smoking like I can smell things better like when I take a shower I can smell the shampoo in my hair when it is freshly washed and before I didn't smell anything. And my taste is starting to get a little bit better the other day I ate a hamburger from Dennys Restaurant and it was much more tasty to me and the other day my mom complimented me on my cologne that I was wearing and said it was nice to smell just that and not mixed with smelling like cigarettes☺The other day I tried to register for the freedom train and Have my milestones celebrated but when the part to fill out to add a copy to the link to my profile I got confused  .So that's a little up date on me I send everyone positive energy and hugs...Today 41 days of freedom☺

Keep pressing on,

-Ralph☺

Hello my EX Community Family.Happy Sunday everyone...Today with the help of my awesome God above and all of you amazing people on this site this is my 14 day smoke free☺still taking things a day at a time I have my good days and bad days and still fighting the mind set of a smoker but riding out every urge and cravings as it comes...this week I was pretty much home bound I caught that awful cold that has been going around and pretty much kicked my butt this past week but i am at the tail end of it now and feeling much better...i have been reading a lot of books lately and word searches and cross word puzzles are becoming my new friend especially when I can't sleep or get anxious at 3:00 A.M. they come in handy...well that another little up date on how i am doing i hope everyone is doing well and working there program to stay healthy and smoke free I send everyone positive energy good vibes and hugs keep pressing on

-Ralph

I am doing ok hanging in there today is my sixth day smoke free the first 48 hours after were pretty tuff but i am sticking to my guns and not lighting up.I have did my research before this journey of mine began about using any quit smoking aids like the patch or medication like chantix because i have used them before and felt that they were not much help so i decided this time not to use them but i have stocked up on a few other things that i felt would be useful to me to help me stay quit like hard candy regular chewing gum fruits and vegetable sticks like carrots and celery i have also bought a couple of things to keep me busy like word searches cross word puzzles books to read and a note book to write my thoughts and feelings down so one of my biggest triggers is after i eat a meal so now right after i eat i pull out the word searchs and cross word puzzles and work on them for a while.so that is a little up date on my progress thank you my fellow EXers for listening to me i send everyone good positive energy good vibes and hugs....six days of freedom☺

-Ralph
