I am much better!
There is no way to write this blog without first recognizing all of you who took the time to send up prayers and good wishes for me during my current illness! The power of your prayers is a big part of the recovery I have obtained to this point! If the English language contains enough words of gratitude to thank you all sufficiently, then my own vocabulary is painfully lacking! THANK YOU ALL, for helping save my life!
I was hospitalized January 29th with a blood stream infection! Although they were never able to name it for me, I am pretty sure it was Ecoli!(caused by a prostate biopsy) On the morning of the 30th, two different doctors told me that this could kill me! I looked at them, with the best grin that I could muster, and said "No it can't! You don't know how many people are praying for me!" And, I never doubted it for a second! Through all the unpleasant trials of treatment in that hospital there was never a time that I believed I would fail to get through it! Thank you for giving me that knowledge and confidence!
Now I am at home, and the treatment continues! I have in home nurses coming every day to infuse IV antibiotics! I have more Drs, appointments coming up than I can keep track of! But, I am getting better! I am weak! But, better! I hope to be able to spend more time here in the near future! I apologize to all who have milestones that I missed! There are so many of you I need to reach out personally! And, I will! Meantime, please know that I do indeed THANK YOU all from the bottom of my slightly damaged heart!
