Borrowed words!

On December 23, 1776 Thomas Paine completed "The American Crisis"! His words lent inspiration to a ragtag army, most of whom marched barefoot in the snow. A lucky few had rags tied around their feet! But they boarded boats to cross the Delaware and turn the tide of the American Revelution! These men were willing to pay any price for Freedom!

I am borrowing these words from Mr. Paine in the hope that these same words will lend inspiration to some of you who are feeling hobbled in your own personal march to Freedom! Let no crisis cause you to shrink from comittment! Stand and conquer your addiction to nicotine and cigarettes!

THESE are the times that try men's souls. The summer soldier and the sunshine patriot will, in this crisis, shrink from the service of their country; but he that stands it now, deserves the love and thanks of man and woman. Tyranny, like hell, is not easily conquered; yet we have this consolation with us, that the harder the conflict, the more glorious the triumph. What we obtain too cheap, we esteem too lightly: it is dearness only that gives every thing its value. Heaven knows how to put a proper price upon its goods; and it would be strange indeed if so celestial an article as freedom should not be highly rated.

Thank you for inspiring this G!                                               Tommy
