A long time ago, 1326 Days ago to be EXact, I came to this site on the 8th day of my quit! My first blog received 6 responses! Among them was one from a young Lady who goes by the monicker of SmokedOut! She made me feel welcome, and encouraged me with my young quit!
In the months that followed I learned how hard she was struggling to find her "forever quit"! But she never stopped being a source of encouragement for me and sooooooo many others! She relapsed a number of times! It seems that it was 5 cigarettes each time! Some became frustrated with her! Some labeled her a "Serial Quitter"! Some gave up on her! Once, at least, I am pretty sure that she gave up on herself! She was handed a lot of "Tough Love"!
This Lady has always held a special place in my heart, and always will! So I sent her a message one day that told her that no matter what she went through, I would be there for her! FOREVER! I think she learned that I meant that from the bottom of my heart! So, when things were bad she knew I was here for her! When things were good, I was here for her! And she was always here for me!
Today, our Dear Friend Teresa celebrates 500 DAYS of Freedom! For all who showed her continued love and support when she fell off the wagon, or horse, or whatever she fell off of, your efforts are rewarded! For Teresa, you have reached a great milestone today! My 500 Day milestone still stands out in my mind as my greatest celebration on this site! I hope today will be the same for you!
My Dear Friend, thank you for being there for me in the very beginning! And, thank you for showing us all that falling to the bottom just gives you a place to bounce from! You have rewarded all of us who believed in you! But, most of all you have rewarded yourself! And I, just like your quit, am here for you, FOREVER!
