I wanted to take time to thank those of you who offered up thoughts and prayers during my most recent hospital stay! I also want to apologize to those of you who were left out of the loop! That was not my intent! The decision to go to the ER was one that came about suddenly! I was not at a keyboard, and was in no condition to type if I had been!
Most of you have been with me through my quadruple by-pass back in August! And most of you know of the cardiac cath that I had to have in October! Monday I had another one! I went to the Emergency Room at about 11:00 Eastern time Sunday night!
The problem is scar tissue! In one of the by-pass arteries, the scar tissue is forming so vigorously that it is blocking the blood flow! That is why I had the surgery to start with! The blood flow was blocked! That came from the mistreatment of my body over the years. And, yes, smoking! Now the cure is the cause! I am happy to report that the Dr was able to break up the scar tissue, and that my blood is flowing quite well! For now! The bad news is that this will happen again! Hopefully not every 7-8 weeks! There is no way to know how many times! The Cardiologist said he was hoping for 3 to 4 months before we have to this again! Eventually, I hope, the scar tissue will develop in an area that will not create this blockage! The procedure that the Dr performs is placing a balloon in the scar tissue and inflating it! I can feel this as it blocks the blood flow and tears the scar tissue! This put me seconds away from a heart attack and I can assure you that it hurts!
The questions that I have for all of you are these! Would you like to go through this? If so just keep smoking! Would you like to go through the quadruple by-pass? Imagine them sawing your sternum apart, and re-routing the arteries of you heart! Can you just visaulize the surgeon holding your heart in his hands? If this sounds cool, just keep smoking! Do you think that it would be an EXciting adventure to go through things much worse that this? Ask JoJo about a lung transplant! Ask Kelly about lung reduction surgery! Here is your opportunity! Grasp Freedom with both hands before you learn about these thing the hard way! Or you can ignore our lessons! It would probably never happen to you anyway! I know it was never suppose to happen to me! Live Free! Breathe Free! Tommy!
