CHANGING TRAINS!!!!
Good evening all my fellow EXer's! I want to tell you from the very start, that I am writing this blog with very mixed emotions! One of the accomplishment in my life of which I am most proud is the establishment of the Freedom Train! Thinking of it fills my heart with pride! Today the Train ran for the 617th Day! Realizing that it has grown into a monster that we can no longer maintain and support brings a tear to my eye! I want to thank every single person who has contributed to its success! And that is pretty much all of you!
If you ever rode, or made a comment on someone elses ride on the Freedom Train, you are part of it's success! If you are Maggie, Marcie, LindaN, Cyn, or any of the others who kept up with the milestones, or wrote the blogs that kept the Train on the tracks, I am forever in your debt, as are so many others here! You have worked tirelessly with no compensation, aside from the gratitude of those who celebrated their milestones with us! It is the most awesome display of love for your fellow man that I have ever have the privilege to witness!
For a while now we have been facing the reality that the Train is more work than we are capable of doing! The hours and hours required to track quit dates, relapses, re-starts, and those who just disappear, boggles the mind! And it has become impossible! For those of us on the inside, it has been a struggle to find a way to keep from retiring the Freedom Train! We do not want to do that! Ultimately that decision will come from you!
Starting Monday October 15,2012 the staff of the Freedom Train will quit tracking milestones! We plan to post the Freedom Train everyday, and we will invite you to come aboard and announce your own milestone, or the milestone(s) of your friend(s)! Traditionally we celebrate Days 50, Days 100 and multiples of 100, and One Year, and multiple of One Year! As long as people want to come to the Freedom Train and celebrate, we will continue to post it! So, my dear Friends, the survival of the Freedom Train is going to be placed in your hands! I hope you will keep it running! Should you choose to let it die off, I thank everyone who has ever been a part of it, from the bottom of my slightly damaged heart, for all the memories, and the pride you have allowed me! And today I ask you all to give a standing ovation to MAGGIE, MARCIE, LINDAN, AND CYN!!!!
And always remember: IF YOU ARE NOT RIDING WITH US, YOU ARE MISSING THE TRAIN! Tommy
