Today is day 99!! It will be the last day of my life that I am a double digit quitter!! WOW! What an incredible job you have done!! Thank you all!
Some of you may recall that I came here not even wanting to quit. I ranted and raved about the government forcing me to give up. I am still outraged at government intrusion in out private lives, as our nation slides deeper and deeper into the hands of those who would make us dependent on them. But I digress!! You people ignored my rants and stayed focused on one thing!! Quitting! I did not want to quit, but you helped me. Now I have to admit that I kinda like be a quitter. But there is more! I know that in grand scheme of thing, saving the health of one old fat man does not amount to a hill of beans. But there is soooooooo much more.
A few short months ago, I would not have given this site or you people the time of day if I had been up to my rear end in wrist watches. I just did not care. I was ready to die. And I am still Ok with it!! But the people at this site welcomed me into a community that is so much bigger than the sum of its parts. The caring and compassion, and the understanding that is on display at this site on a daily basis is in a word AWESOME!!! I found a place where people who will never meet face to face, put themselves out there for each other. There is little selfishness here. Just people trying to help each other. As a part of this community, I feel that I have become a better person. I still have a long ways to go, but I am a better human being because of YOU & YOU & YOU & YOU!! All of you have contributed to the sucess that I have had here. I can never do enough to repay you! My pledge is that I will do everthing that I can for you and the exer's to come. From the bottom of my slightly damaged heart I thank each and everyone of you! THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU !!!!!!!!!!! Tommy
