The Ruins

We slowly worked our way into the ruins early this morning looking for the bunch that we had tracked to here.

When we located them, we found that they had dug into a sand dune to a room that had been covered long ago.

The Sheik and I pulled back to discuss what we should do.

We trapped another group here several years ago and just let the vipers take care of them.

I thought we should do the same with this group, but didn't wish to keep a large group of Bedoins tied up here.

We finally decided that the best thing was to just collapse the dune and trap them in the room where they were.

I am sure that there are some of the vipers slithering about that would like to take these guys out for us.

We carefully worked our way up the back side of the dune covering the building and studied where to start a sand slide.

We also sent men to the sides of the area they had dug out to collapse the sides in as well.

When we were ready, we had a line go up toward the top and push the sand.

It began sliding and just gathered force to become a massive slide into the hollow they had created.

The men at the sides did the same.

We moved back from the tops very quickly so that we didn't go sliding down as well.

I would estimate that they have about twelve feet of sand to dig through to escape the tomb that we have just created.

I urge everyone to keep a sharp eye out for the hooligans that associate with Ol' Nic.

They could be hiding anywhere along the trail. You never know if they have set traps along the way.

Be especially wary around Desolation Point in the Relapse Rocks.

Travel safely my friends.

One step, and then another, will get you to where you want to be.

About the Author
I am a male that underwent coronary artery bypass X3 (triple) on 10/22/13 at the age of 55. I was living on about 20-30% of one coronary artery and my left heart output was only 20% to 25%. I spent a week in the hospital after surgery and went home. Then had to go back a day later for another week because I had pneumonia. Finally a few days because of a slight arythmia. All told it has been about 2 1/2 weeks. I am past the cravings by now and only have the urges to contend with. I really don't suggest that anyone quits smoking using this technique though. I'll have to carry the scars from that day for the rest of my life. The large one down the center of my chest, and the ones from several "silent" infarctions. I came that close to the next world. Never again will I subject my body to that (at one point in my life I was smoking 5 packs of cigarillos a day). I now have to say N.O.P.E. (Not One Puff Ever) every day of my life. TheOldGoat-Joan, I miss you terribly my friend. Elder Lists Guilia's: (/blogs/Giulia-blog/2017/06/18/elders-list-ao-december-7-2016 ) or Smorgy's (Chronological Elder List)
