My Occult Blood test came back negative. That is a big relief.
However, I am now fighting Exacerbation of my COPD.
My air passages are severely inflamed and closing off.
I am trying to hold my own with this.
Taking antibiotics and Prednisone.
I have to Nebulize every 4 hours and then use the inhaler every 6 hours.
They also have me on a Codiene-based Syrup to help calm my cough some, but not totally stop it.
They are wanting me to bring up as much out of my lungs as possible.
I will get through this as I have so many other problems.
One day at a time.
======================================
That being said, I want to warn against ever going back to those Death Sticks that caused this.
When I think of the damage I have caused to my body, I am so very upset at myself.
I realize now that smoking was never 'cool', let alone the right thing to do.
Emphysema, COPD, PAD, Systolic Heart Failure, CHF, GERD and Barrett's Esophagus, and an AAA are just a few of the "rewards" from my 42 year joyride.
Stay quit my friends and be strong in your journey.
One step, and then another, will get you to where you want to be.
