Resupply

I just finished a terrific meal down in Carp's Cave.

The Viper Stew with Dumplings was superb. I have never had a better stew than this and highly recommend it to everyone.

I am having a caravan packed with supplies to restock every oasis along the trail. The resupply caravan grows with each trip. I will have more than 100 camels packed for this trip.

I have been told that clubs are in short supply at the oasis to replace those broken from use by travelers. I am taking a large supply with me.

Extra tents are also being loaded to leave at each stop.

I will be leaving plenty of foodstuffs in the supply caches also.

Fodder for the camels is being packed as well.

Plenty of other equipment will be left as well. All that has been turned in by those that have crossed NML has been cleaned and repaired to be restocked along the trail and at the trailhead.

I will be going up into the caves to restock my own supplies.

I have to remember to go into the secret cave to refill my Moses Dust supply.

That last sandstorm depleted what I had with me.

I am headed to The Cave Of The Ancients now.

In this secret burial chamber I will seek knowledge from those that have gone before me.

The Old Goat and her predecessors impart guidance and advise as I meditate in the cave.

I go now to ready myself for this trip.

Travel safely and keep a watchful eye out for traps and ambushes. Guard from the ever present danger from Nic and his company.

Remember what this old caravan master says over and over ....

One step, and then another, will get you to where you want to be.

About the Author
I am a male that underwent coronary artery bypass X3 (triple) on 10/22/13 at the age of 55. I was living on about 20-30% of one coronary artery and my left heart output was only 20% to 25%. I spent a week in the hospital after surgery and went home. Then had to go back a day later for another week because I had pneumonia. Finally a few days because of a slight arythmia. All told it has been about 2 1/2 weeks. I am past the cravings by now and only have the urges to contend with. I really don't suggest that anyone quits smoking using this technique though. I'll have to carry the scars from that day for the rest of my life. The large one down the center of my chest, and the ones from several "silent" infarctions. I came that close to the next world. Never again will I subject my body to that (at one point in my life I was smoking 5 packs of cigarillos a day). I now have to say N.O.P.E. (Not One Puff Ever) every day of my life. TheOldGoat-Joan, I miss you terribly my friend. Elder Lists Guilia's: (/blogs/Giulia-blog/2017/06/18/elders-list-ao-december-7-2016 ) or Smorgy's (Chronological Elder List)
