Sore face

Posted by OldBones-Larry Jan 22, 2016

I just got home from the ENT.

The good thing, no tumors in my naso-sinus system. No tumors, no cancers, no abnormal looking tissues.

The bad, 20 minutes of him cauterizing bleeds in my sinuses and nasal passages.

He found several small bleeders and thought it best to seal them. It isn't really painful, but it does burn a bit while he is sealing them. The burning sensation will stay for about a week and will finally go away.

Maybe we have the nosebleeds taken care of now.

I saw several milestones and wish to congratulate all of you.

Terrie with 200 days!!!!!!!!!!! Great goiing!!!

1 hour to 1000 days, CONGRATULATIONS to everyone on those quits!!!!

I'm going to ice my nose, take something for the discomfort and try to take a nap.

I have been sitting here reading the scrolls the Goat left for me.

As I was reading, a thought occurred to me. What is inside those packs of sickorettes? What can you visualize them as in the beginning of your quit to help you quit them?

Black nails?

Black snakes?

Pellets of rat poison?

20 loaded pistols?

I'm sure there are a lot of things you could choose.

Something to ponder anyway.....

One step, and then another, will get you to where you want to be.

Thank you to everyone that has left messages on my board and commented on my last couple of blogs.

I admit to going through the wringer and thinking about doing something that would be absolutely deadly. Nic and I have had quite a tussle the last couple of weeks. I didn't cave in to his lies and promises though.

I am not doing a lot as it has been too cold for me to get outside.

I have also been battling Epistaxis (Nosebleeds) for the last two weeks. I have been having between four and eight of them every day. They have done some cautery here at the local hospital, but I am still having them.

I am seeing an ENT on the 22nd to see if he can unravel the problem. I'll keep you all informed.

I am heading in to try and rest for a while. I feel like I have drained an ocean through all this to keep my circulatory volume up.

Congratulations to everyone on your fantastic numbers. Keep those quits going strong.

One step, and then another, will get you to where you want to be.

RIP Joan

Posted by OldBones-Larry Jan 11, 2016

I spoke with Joan's daughter earlier today. She said that they had taken her ashes and divided them into 30 vials. Between family memberrs and friends, they took them up into the mountains into the passes and valleys throughout Virginia.

There was a family member that came from a part of the family that had split away because of the War in the 1860's. I understand that two brothers couldn't reconcile after the war ended. This person took those ashes over into West Virginia to reunite the family, if only in spirit, from her ashes resting where the other part of the family lives.

All the vials were opened and her ashes released across her mountains that she loved so much growing up there.

She may have been an Old Goat, but she was our friend.

Joan our dear friend. May you rest in peace always.

Larry

Sending wishes to every member of EX-ville for a Happy New Year.
