Responding to the post that e-cigs are no danger at all. Only trace amounts of what MIGHT be harmful? Not enough evedence to ban them because of those trace amounts?

I remember when they banned Cyclamates from diet soda. They caused CANCER! It didn't matter that to get the concentration of Cyclamates that was given to their lab rats, you would need to drink 98 55-gallon barrels of soda a day for a period of 150 years!!!!!!

Now cigs and e-cigs can't be banned by our government because they might contain harmful things? Big tobacco has really done their job well!!!

Just sayin'.

He Made A Big Mistake.

Ashley Embers and his gang, followers of Nic O Demon, decided to attack the caravan this morning. They were trying to knock everyone off their camel and shove tar and nicotine in their face. What a disgusting and cowardly attack!

Myself and several others dismounted and kicked some nico-butt. There wasn't much left of them when we were through. We drug their smelly carcasses out into the sands and left them for the scavengers. I am not sure if even they will want those guys though, as they smell terrible!!!!!

I received a message from the Old Goat and the Sheik this morning. They are both searching for warriors to protect the camps and oasis. They have heard the same rumors that I have, I guess. Nicodemon is recruiting heavily. He has lost many followers in his attacks on our camp and the caravan. I guess he will never learn.

Up until now, the journey has been smooth and pleasant. Everyone has been trying to adjust to riding camels. Once you get into the rolling motion of their gait, it is really easy and enjoyable. Kind of like being in your old rocking chair.

We should be arriving at the first oasis this evening. I will be reminding everyone about the dangers of the trail from Nicodemon and his allies. They will stop at nothing to pull someone back into their clutches. Don't fall for their tricks fellow travelers.

The stone the Old Goat gave me is still hanging from my camel's neck. The words are clearly visible. I refer everyone to them daily. Keep Them Away From Your Face.

Remember always. One step, and then another, will get you to where you want to be.

Hugs and love to everyone on their journey.

I just arrived at the beginning of NML. I sent the herd I brought back with me to the corral to be cared for. After they rest and have injuries treated, they will be ready to travel again.

I have passed many travelers that are just beginning their journey. Some look terrified, others determined, and others confused. I will travel back along the trail once I get the new caravan started.

I just met ann and rosemary. They are ready to make the journey across the desert. I advised them we would be leaving at sunset. I can see they have a good attitude about the trip.

I am going to my tent now. The herd is being cared for by the bedoins. I will have a good meal and then rest till sunset. My friends are getting the supplies packed and loaded so we can leave as soon as I get up.

As The Old Goat says .... Keep Them Away From Your Face.

One step, and then another, will get you to where you want to be.

Big Day!!!!!

Posted by OldBones-Larry Apr 21, 2014

I never would have thought I could make it this long when this journey started. I kinda thought I would end up caving like every other time.

WELL!!! At 11 PM my time, I will be have beern smoke free for 6 months. That is something that is very huge to me. I know that I will have memories and temptations many times in the future, but, I know down deep in myself that I will never light up a death stick again. I don't wish to undo what it took my surgeon 6 hours to accomplish. I have a new lease on my life, I refuse to break that lease for anything!!!

I only have one thing to say to old quitters, new quitters, and those just thinking about quitting. It CAN be done!!!

We CAN, and ARE kicking Nicotine's arse!!!

I know it is said a lot, but it is very true ...... IF I CAN QUIT, YOU CAN, TOO!!!!!

I send all the love in my heart to everyone that has, or will, be a part in my new life without nicotine.

Keep them away from your face.

One step, and then another, will get you to where you want to be.

I went to my appt. at the doctor yesterday. She thinks things are going very well. No new meds or anything. Continue the rehab, and my daily walks that I myself have committed myself to do. She left and I was feeling pretty good about things.

As I was collecting my things to leave the exam room, she returned with a paper. She told me to take it to the local DOT station. I looked and it was for handicapped placards. ME?? HANDICAPPED???

NO! I am not handicapped. Breathing challenged.... yes. She told me after I said a few choice words that in her opinion, I needed parking closer to the doors of places I had to go. She does not want me to get too out of breath at any time.

I have to accept what she said her thoughts were. I did go get the placards. I don't like it, but will do as she wishes.

I have to accept the fact that I am no longer 16 and able to take in an entire field of hay by myself. I will continue to work to keep the best life I can for myself.

I DO know one thing! I WILL NOT light a  death stick over this! I WILL continue life's journey. I AM stronger than the challenges life has thrown at me.

Most of all, I AM The Caravan Master!!!!

Always keep them away from your face.

One step, and then another, will get you to where you want to be.

This morning I sent out messengers in all directions with instructions to notify all the warriors of EXland of the plans of Queen Butt and her minions. I told them to ask everyone to converge on the camp at the end of the trail through NML to defeat her planned attack. I sent a special messenger to go to the mountain and ask the advice of the hermit in Carp's Cave and the Old Goat. I know they will impart great advice and possibly some stratagies for the battle.

Anyone that has a weapon and wishes to join the defence of the camp would be welcomed I am sure. I am loading several camels with supplies and weapons to be sent back to the defenders.

Keep them away from your face!

One step, and then another, will get you to where you want to be.

Hugs and love to all the travelers on this journey.

I just received the news of the planned attack on the camp a few hours ago. While planning how to assist, I was approached by a local Sheik.

He offered to help defend the camp against Queen Butt and her Puffers as he believed in our cause. I accepted his most generous offer.

At this moment, Sheik Akbar Ben Stompitout, Mighty Smoke-Snuffer of the Desert, is riding forth with his 1,000 followers to assist the defenders of the camp. He swears by his finest Arabian horses and camels that Queen Butt and her Puffer Fish will be crushed.

I know the camp will be safe with all the defenders at the camp pushing the queen into the trap of the Sheik's men coming in behind her forces.

Hugs and love to everyone making the journey.

Camels For The Queen

Posted by OldBones-Larry Apr 6, 2014

I sent several camels back along the trail loaded with some dates and figs for the camp at the end of NML. I told the bedoin to take them to Queen Tigress. I know she will make sure they arrive at the camp safely. I also sent a note along with Amir asking her to take over care of the camel compound back there. There is a lavish tent set up for her use if she will assume care of the camels.

Since I can move much faster on my own, I am almost back to the entrance to NML. I have heard there are some people milling around there as if they are lost. I will see about getting them organized and on the trail when I get there.

I passed someone in a boonie hat that was traveling across the desert yesterday. He looked to be ready for anything Ol Nic could throw his way. He was carrying a large hammer slung on his back.

I hailed him and told him about the supply caches at each oasis and that he was welcome to any that he needed. I think he will do fine.

I should be ready to begin another caravan in a few days. I, and my camel, will have to rest before we start back again.

I have posted signs across the desert with the Old Goat's words on them. Remember them always my friends. They are words to live by.

Keep Them Away From Your Face!!!

One step, and then another, will get you to where you want to be.

Hugs and love to all my fellow travelers.

I heard a faint shout a couple of days ago. I turned around and rode hard to Desolation Point. It was a good thing that I did go back!

Several people had gotten a little close to the edge. They had slipped and fallen over the side. They were hanging on, but losing their grip fast. I threw them a rope and tied the other end to the pack on the camel. Then I edged my way down to them. Eventually we regained the trail. I took them over to the safer trail and sent them on their way with some herbs to ease the pains of the fall.

When I returned to my herd, two of them were not to be found. I searched for them and had almosty given up hope of finding them. This morning, I received a message that a traveler had need of them and borrowed them. They will be back in a couple of days I was told. Seems a couple of nasties had reared  their heads and she needed these two sharpshooting spitters to deal with them.

I continued on down the trail, as the camerls will return to the herd on their own when they are no longer needed.

I replenish all the supplies at each oasis as I go. I am glad to see that the supplies are being used. I see that some of the clubs I left at each oasis have been taken. I hope the travelers get good use from them. I carved them to be very strong. Ol Nic O Demon doesn't like them, because they don't break and pack one h#ll of a whollup.

As the Old Goat said, Keep Them Away From Your Face!

One step, and then another, will get you to where you want to be.

Hugs and love to all from the desert.

Riding Along

Posted by OldBones-Larry Apr 1, 2014

I have had a pleasant ride today.

I feel good after thrashing Ol Nic for destroying the supplies and trying to turn travelers from the correct path through NML. I can still see him laying in that puddle of tar and nicotine. What a great site. I don't count him out though. He seems to recover from every beating he has taken.

I have seen a lot of travelers on my return. For some reason today, I see them all in tee shirts. Printed across the front is, " Goodbye Joe! I  got a new camel!"

I am not sure where that came from, but it is a great thought. I can just see Joe Camel's reaction to that one!

I haven't found any more supply caches destroyed, so I guess we stopped Nic in time. All the supplies have been replaced that he destroyed.

I have replaced several more markers along the trail. Several had been changed by Nic and his gang. They read correctly now.

Safe journey to all. Keep those quits strong. Follow the markers and let your camel have it's freedom to help you along the trail.

One step, and then another, will get you to where you want to be.

Keep Them Away From Your Face! as The Wise Old Goat told me.

Hugs and love to all.
