Desolation Point

I arrived at Desolation Point at the Relapse Rocks this morning. I found evidence that someone tried using the path across the point. They slipped, and it looks as though they caught themselves and didn't fall to the rocks below. I went over and posted an even bigger marker directing people to the other path I blazed.

I have been piling boulders across the path leading to Desolation Point to try and prevent any injuries there. The camels don't seem to mind pulling them for me. I climbed down to check at the bottom and found signs that someone had fallen clear down. They must have gotten back up though. I will watch for them as I continue back along the trail.

I have been leaving supplies at the oasis as I come to them. Also, I have re-stocked the dried grasses.

Several people I have passed were riding on injured animals. I gave them a fresh camel and will take the one they were riding with me.

I will hunt some fresh meat this evening, as my stock of it is getting low. I'm not sure what I will find, but I'm sure I will find something.

Keep traveling my friends. The journey is well worth it, though it seems very hard here in the desert. I have been to the end of NML and can tell you that the land is so green over there. My friends at the camp are keeping the signal fires lit to help to find your way out. I have the trail well marked for you.

One step, and then another, will get you to where you want to be.

Hugs and love to all.

About the Author
I am a male that underwent coronary artery bypass X3 (triple) on 10/22/13 at the age of 55. I was living on about 20-30% of one coronary artery and my left heart output was only 20% to 25%. I spent a week in the hospital after surgery and went home. Then had to go back a day later for another week because I had pneumonia. Finally a few days because of a slight arythmia. All told it has been about 2 1/2 weeks. I am past the cravings by now and only have the urges to contend with. I really don't suggest that anyone quits smoking using this technique though. I'll have to carry the scars from that day for the rest of my life. The large one down the center of my chest, and the ones from several "silent" infarctions. I came that close to the next world. Never again will I subject my body to that (at one point in my life I was smoking 5 packs of cigarillos a day). I now have to say N.O.P.E. (Not One Puff Ever) every day of my life. TheOldGoat-Joan, I miss you terribly my friend. Elder Lists Guilia's: (/blogs/Giulia-blog/2017/06/18/elders-list-ao-december-7-2016 ) or Smorgy's (Chronological Elder List)
