Day 4 - I like that

My last post was in hours, now I'm up to days.  Although 68 hours does sound pretty good as well.  I got over one big hurdle last night.  I planned my quit date at the beginning of a weekend when my husband was away.  As nice a guy as he is, he sometimes turns into one of my triggers.  He came home last night and all was well.  Today is another hurdle, first day back at work.  At 11:30 one of my smoking buddies is going to see if I'm ready to go out for a smoke.  If I'm feeling then how I feel now, it will be easy.  Fingers crossed!

Done with my first day of work, and it was much easier than I expected.  So far the 2nd night was the worst.

If I choose not to smoke, I still have a choice. Once I choose to smoke I may lose my freedom to choose.

32 hours so far.

This year I quit on Mother's Day and relapsed almost immediately.  I like the thought of quitting on mother's day so relapse is what I like to call the last 6 months!  anyway, I walked into CVS yesterday at lunch time and bought Nicoderm CQ patch.  I've never wanted to use the patch before, since it says DO NOT SMOKE WHEN USING THE PATCH.  How could I commit to that? What if I slipped?  Yesterday I realized that's the point! I am committing to this.  Yesterday wasn't too bad, I think quitting mid day may help me, shorter day to go through and when I woke up this morning it was already day 2!  Tonight was a little tougher, I had a few arguments with myself and I won.  I feel really good about that.  I also have noticed less shortness of breath after climbing the stairs already, way cool.  Hope I make it through tomorrow just as well.
