AND NOT OVERDOING
There was a time when I could get a bucket of chicken from the Colonel and eat the whole thing myself. Now I am happy to order 2 thighs.
What changed?
Most of our actions to get satisfaction involve urges connected to memories of satisfaction. I finally realized I can satisfy a "memory urge" without OVERDOING IT.
Smoking is not the same because of the drug nicotine, but, you can certainly smoke less and enjoy it just the same before you quit. It's just a matter of catching yourself before you smoke and saying, "I'm going to wait a little longer." No counting, no denial.
