If you are lighting up a cigarette?

You haven't quit.

We can't control you.

If you are still sneaking them and calling yourself quit, you are only kidding yourself.

Get some skirt steak/flap meat (1/2>3/4# per person)

or

Flank steak

If skirt steak, cut into 5" x 8" pieces . they should be about 1/4 > 3/8" thick. (one serving)

Flank steak can be pounded thinner than purchased and the white parts cut off and then crosstcut, (not

all the way through) for tenderness. flank steaks are usually sold in 1 1/2 to 2# portions at the market and

will serve 3-4 people or two carps.

Make up some stuffing (1-1 1/2c per serving) and put a big ole handfull/ lump and roll the meat around it and

place upside down in a roasting pan.(so you don't have to tie it with string)

Bake at 350 for 1 hour.

Premake some of those apples I recipeed a couple blogs back (chilled) to go with it.

MMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM

After most people make it 30 days, the shinyness of quitting is wearing off. In fact, you're darn tired of thinking about quitting.
You are entering the period where most quitters falter and fail. by 1 month you've experienced the worst of the cravings.

It will never get worse than what you've experienced in the first 30 days but the habit tries to blindside you with cravings and memories out of nowhere. Just know what I am saying is true and be especially aware through day 130 or so.

LUCK

Posted by jonescarp.aka.dale.Jan_2007 Oct 24, 2011

I had to change Hoggies litter today.

As soon as I stepped outside it started pouring rain.

As soon as I had finished, IT STOPPED!

Now that's LUCK!

Pick up 6 fresh granny smith apples at the store or off your tree.

Slice into quarters and core them.

Slice quarters thinly and put in a sauce pan with 1 cup water.

Begin a high simmer on the stove.

Add 1/2-1 cup sugar and 1 t  cinnamon and cook gently for 15 minutes.

Have some warm. Chill the rest

Smells good. Tastes good

If anyone can help someone on this board through a real tough time with a little assistance, please message me. Maybe some of the savings from not smoking? I am going to do what I can but it's going to take more than what I alone can do.

You never know what the person in front of you just unloosed.

GET BUSY RELEARNING LIFE WITHOUT SMOKING!!!

YOU'LL BE GLAD YOU DID

 RETIRED HUSBAND

After I retired, my wife insisted that I accompany her on her trips to Target.

Unfortunately, like most men, I found shopping boring and preferred to get in and get out. Equally unfortunate, my wife is  like most women - she loves to browse.

Yesterday my dear wife received the following letter
from the local Target:

        Dear Mrs. Harris,

Over the past six months, your husband has caused quite
a commotion in our store. We cannot tolerate this behavior and have been
forced to ban both of you from the store. Our complaints against your
husband, Mr. Harris, are listed below and are documented by our video
surveillance cameras:

        1. June 15: He took 24 boxes of condoms and randomly put
them in other people's carts when they weren't looking.

        2. July 2: Set all the alarm clocks in Housewares to go
off at 5-minute intervals.

        3. July 7: He made a trail of tomato juice on the floor
leading to the women's restroom.

        4. July 19: Walked up to an employee and told her in an
official voice, 'Code 3 in Housewares. Get on it right away'. This
caused the employee to leave her assigned station and receive a
reprimand from her Supervisor that in turn resulted with a union
grievance, causing management to lose time and costing the company
money.

        5. August 4: Went to the Service Desk and tried to put a
bag of M&Ms on layaway.

        6. August 14: Moved a 'CAUTION - WET FLOOR' sign to a
carpeted area.

        7. August 15: Set up a tent in the camping department
and told the children shoppers he'd invite them in if they would bring
pillows and blankets from the bedding department to which twenty
children obliged.

        8. August 23: When a clerk asked if they could help him
he began crying and screamed, 'Why can't you people just leave me
alone?' EMTs were called.

9.. September 4: Looked right into the security camera
and used it as a mirror while he picked his nose.

        10. September 10: While handling guns in the hunting
department, he asked the clerk where the antidepressants were.

        11. October 3: Darted around the store suspiciously
while loudly humming the ' Mission Impossible' theme..

        12. October 6: In the auto department, he practiced his
'Madonna look' by using different sizes of funnels.

        13. October 18: Hid in a clothing rack and when people
browsed through, yelled 'PICK ME! PICK ME!'

        14. October 21: When an announcement came over the loud
speaker, he assumed a fetal position and screamed 'OH NO! IT'S THOSE
VOICES AGAIN!'

        And last, but not least:

        15. October 23: Went into a fitting room, shut the door,
waited awhile, then yelled very loudly, 'Hey! There's no toilet paper in
here.' One of the clerks passed out.

My Blog

Posted by jonescarp.aka.dale.Jan_2007 Oct 4, 2011

So you have two watermelons in front of you.

One is seeded the other seedless.

(one is fear and doubt-having to work around and then spit out the seeds)

(the other is belief in yourself and creation of your own thoughts-a smoother easier quit-seedless)

Which Will You Choose??

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmen

I believe that 120-130 days after your last puff is the magical time.

That's when i noticed I've seen it again and again over the years since I quit.

If you understand you can quit and don't doubt yourself, that amount of time is a typical

cross section and you have created strong enough memories of living without smoking that you're ready for

anything  you, a non-smoker, will experience

You truly can start living about that time and not be thinking of smoking.

Let each day reenforce the next!!!

I've been here a little over three years now. In that time I have seen so many come through this place. It's

taken some numerous tries but they finally believed they could do it and did.

That's what makes this place work, finding the belief in yourself by knowing others have done it and

receiving their encouragement to not falter.

It makes me proud of each of you. It's not a self pride, its your pride in yourself that makes me celebrate

your victory over tobacco and nicotine. When you get it, we all rejoice.

Everyone may have their own little tricks for getting over the humps but in the end, the realization that it's

always a choice is what is paramount, 1 month quit or 5 years quit.

This is where it starts and this is where it ends the cycle of addiction.

Its not a fear of restarting, it's the knowledge that you have a choice instead of being bound.

Do not ever forget this.

Do You Have One You Just NEED To Share?

NO SMOKING!!!

People come here to quit smoking.

Most often, they become out of sorts.

Sometimes, they have many more problems they need to deal with than just quitting smoking.

We have no idea what those problems are. This is a tobacco cessation site.

Sometimes, they smoke and say it's ok. Well, it may be ok in their minds.

I feel if those thoughts spoken are not countered by the truth, other people may get the idea that it is ok.

The truth is not mean spirited. The truth is simply the truth.

If you want to purport untruths and want people to kiss your butt, you will find those people here.

I am not one of those people but I will help anyone who desires my help.
