I'm going to give those who are struggling a few tips to make it easier to gain ground
you have to decide to quit. Notice I didn't say "want to", or "have to"
you have to not have them around where you could smoke them
if that means telling your partner to lock them away, buy them a small chest with one key. (whatever)
and, this is the AhHa moment, whenever you have the urge to smoke after you've quit,
say AhHa out loud or silently to yourself. You have to do this everytime you think about smoking
to break the habitual mindless repetition of picking up a smoke and fire and inhaling.
You "trick" your brain to think of something else.
Think about it.
If you smoke a pack a day, you would say this to yourself 20 times a day.
If you do it for one week, your mind will change from thinking about smoking to AhHa.
This is the quickest way I know to recognize and relinquish the mental difficulties of quitting.
Don't thank me. Save yourselves.
