Puff, the gray, nearly toothless, bald, wrinkly dragon

Meet Puff.

His skin is gray from the lack of oxygen in his system. Cigarette smoke contains carbon monoxide, which displaces the oxygen in his skin, and nicotine, which reduces blood flow, leaving skin dry and discolored.

He is scaly. 10 years of smoking = a 20% increase in psoriasis risk; 20 years = a 60% increase; over 20 years and your risk more than doubles. Guess Puff has smoked a really really long time.

He looks older than he really is. Smoking accelerates aging, so that smokers look 1.4 years older than nonsmokers, on average.

He's wrinkled and bald. Smoking hampers the blood supply that keeps skin tissue looking supple and healthy. And the toxic chemical in cigarettes are known to damage the DNA in hair folicales.

Puff is not as magical as his PR guy would like you to think. Poor Puff.
