I have studied natural healing for many years. While on my journey I learned about liquid stablized oxygen, Many people who took it, (it goes right nto the blood stream) were able to get off of their oxygen tanks. this wasn't a fly by night thing. There were many testimonials.

some places sell it for alot of money, You take about 15-20 drops in a cup of water. This site sells it wholesale to the public, I haven't bought any from them.

I hope this helps somone,

More on Kellies story

My name is Kellie.  I am 48 and on June 4th @ 2:30 in the afternoon I hit my One Year Anniversary.  It felt GREAT!  I was not surprised I made it that far.  I am not afraid of ever smoking again.  Yes, I still have urges.  I sometimes see people smoking and actually long for one.  My daughter still is smoking and instead of giving me the urge to join her like we used to ... it saddens me and makes me afraid for her.

You see I am 48 and that afternoon I quit smoking I was also diagnosed with Copd.  Later the diagnoses went to Severe Copd and Emphysema.  I started a blog documenting a year of life with this disease.  It's interesting to watch the progression.  I started the blog in February on my birthday and since then I can see almost monthly changes.

I am now on 24 hours of oxygen.  I am not a vain person.  I always thought I was attractive or at least looking at me would not make anyone throw up!  LoL  But learning to be O.K. seeing myelf everyday with a cannula wrappped around my face was bad enough.  Going in public and seeing those looks was/'is hard.  You know those looks... they either feel sorry for you (which I hate), or they want to ask all kinds of questions, which also is uncomfortable.  People with Emphysema tend to blame themselves for being sick.  After all I smoked, I did this to myself.  So, sharing that with other people to me is the most uncomfortable thing.

It seems that along with Copd/Emphysema also comes other conditions.  When one organ is damaged it tends to put more pressure on the other organs.  Unfortunatley the lungs are directly related to the heart.  Which they are now watching.  My pulse rate has suddenly gone through the roof.  And they cannot get it to slow down.  This puts pressure on an already overworked heart.

My oxygen levels are so low that I am already on the highest level of 02.  I am not sure what happens after this?

It is scary.

I am not special.  This can be any one of you.  I was just unlucky enough to have bad genes.  Both my parents died from heart disease associated with Copd.  Only in those years I never heard Copd mentioned.  It was Emphysema and only that.

Lungs do not regenerate.  Once damaged that damage stays there.  If you quit damaging them early enough you may never feel the effects.  But to show you what will happen if you continue to smoke, do this for me..................

do a few excercises or run in place until your breathing gets rapid.  Now plug your nose and get a straw.  Breath only through the straw to inhale and exhale.

Some days I feel like I dove too deep into the water and can't make it back to the top to get air.

3 Days.  That's what it takes to get rid of the withdrawls.  Only 3 days!  Cold turkey is how I quit.  I couldn't imagine trying to quit while delivering doses of nicotine back into my system.  To me that is cruel!  Start working on the habit part of your addiction, that is where the work comes in.  You will have to re-direct your thoughts and ways.  If you smoked immediately after dinner, then get up and do dishes, or go for a walk.  If when you got in a fight with your "person" you smoked to calm down... then get a punching bag, hit your pillow, do something to get rid of the adrenaline.  Don't use smoking as an excuse.  You will still have no job, you will still lose someone, you will still have stress at work, you will still have an illness, you will still have uncomfortable moments.  Smoking WILL NOT make those easier to handle.  Instead you will still have all of the above, only now you will have blown your quit too!

I wish you the best of luck in your journey to become an Ex.  It's not easy.  But I promise you the alternative sucks!

Consider this

Some ex-smokers find they have fewer colds after quitting. That's because of something called cilia. Cilia are little hairs in your lungs and throat that protect you from pollutants. But cigarette smoke can damage those cilia so they can't do their job as well. This makes your body more vulnerable to things like the common cold. But after you stop smoking, your cilia should start to work again.

It's another good example of how you may be feeling better soon.

A few weeks back, when you decided to quit smoking, you might not have realized all the ways your health might improve. Let's look at a few.

From your head… You might have hardly noticed the way your hair smelled when you smoked. But other people probably did. It's the kind of improvement other people can enjoy, too. Your senses of smell and taste may also be getting better by the day without the dulling effect of cigarettes.

…to your chest… Your lungs might be functioning better now. Anywhere from 2 weeks to 3 months after most smokers quit, the coughing, sinus congestion, fatigue, and shortness of breath decrease. And 10 years after quitting, the risk of lung cancer can be reduced by half.

…all the way down to your feet. It's a lot easier to be more active (even doing simple things like walking) when your blood circulation and lung function improve. And it probably began to get better almost as soon as you stopped smoking.

Today, there are two ways to do the activity. You can either print this page and fill in the blanks or just get a pen and paper and make your own list.

The idea is simple: Make a list of a few things you'd like to try now that you've stopped smoking. It's likely that you're feeling better in many ways by now. So there may be quite a few activities that might be more rewarding at this point. That could help you remember that quitting smoking can make many parts of your life more enjoyable.

(For instance: Indian food, extra sharp cheddar cheese, mango)

   1.______________________ 2. _____________________3. _____________________ image

(For instance: a new perfume, just-baked cookies, roses)

  1.______________________ 2. _____________________3. _____________________ image

(For instance: a new park, a zoo, a mall)

  1.______________________ 2. _____________________3. _____________________ image

(For instance: kayaking, mini golf, tennis)

  1.______________________ 2. _____________________3. _____________________ image

  1.______________________ 2. _____________________3. _____________________ image

Before you begin any new physical activities, be sure to check with your doctor to see how much activity is right for you.

Make your list. Tape it to the fridge. Then, over the next few days, check off as many of the items on your list as you can.

Smoking doesn't just affect your lungs. It has an impact on just about every organ of your body. You know that already, of course, but it's important to look at the big picture once in a while. Because there are many ways your health is probably better now than it was before your Quit Date.

So today we talked about how you feel. Tomorrow we flip it around: How do other people see you now that you've quit?

Beware of Garbage Trucksby David J. Pollaysubmitted by Rene RobinsonHow often do you let other people's nonsense changeyour mood? Do you let a bad driver, rude waiter, curt boss,or an insensitive employee ruin your day? Unless you're theTerminator, for an instant you're probably set back on yourheels. However, the mark of a successful person is how quicklyshe or he can get back their focus on what's important.  Sixteen years ago I learned this lesson.I learned it in the back of a New York City taxi cab. Here's what happened.I hopped in a taxi, and we took off for Grand Central Station. We were driving in the right lane when, all of a sudden,a black car jumped out of a parking space right in front of us.My taxi driver slammed on his breaks, skidded, and missed the other car's back end by just inches! The driver of the other car, the guy who almost caused a big accident, whipped his head around and he started yelling bad words at us.My taxi driver just smiled and waved at the guy.And I mean, he was friendly. So, I said, "Why did you just do that? This guy almost ruined your car and sent us to the hospital!"And this is when my taxidriver told me what Inow call, "The Law of the Garbage Truck."Many people are like garbagetrucks. They run around full of garbage, full of frustration, full of anger, and full of disappointment. As their garbage piles up, they need a place to dump it.And if you let them, they'll dump it on you. When someone wants to dump on you, don't take it personally. You just smile, wave, wish them well, and move on.You'll be happy you did.So this was it: The "Law of the Garbage Truck."I started thinking, how often do I let Garbage Trucks run right over me?And how often do I take their garbage and spread it to other people:at work, at home, on the streets? It was that day I said, "I'm not going to do it anymore."I began to see garbagetrucks.Like in the movie "The Sixth Sense," the little boy said, "I see Dead People."Well, now "I see Garbage Trucks."I see the load they're carrying.I see them coming to drop it off.And like my Taxi Driver, I don't make it a personal thing;I just smile, wave, wish them well, and I move on.One of my favorite footballplayers of all time, Walter Payton, did this every day on thefootball field. He would jump up as quickly as he hit the ground after being tackled. He never dwelled on a hit.Payton was ready to make the next play his best.Good leaders know they have to be ready for their next meeting.Good parents know that they have to welcome their children homefrom school with hugs and kisses.Leaders and parents know that they have to be fully present, and at their best for the people they care about. The bottom line is that successful peopledo not let Garbage Trucks take over their day. What about you? What would happen in your life, starting today,if you let more garbage trucks pass you by?Here's my bet. You'll be happier.Life's too short to wake up in the morning with regrets, so..Love the people who treat you right.Forget about the ones who don't.Believe that everything happens for a reason. If you get a chance , TAKE IT!If it changes your life , LET IT!Nobody said it would be easy...They just promised it would be worth it!     YOu only get one body, I hope you take as good a care of it as you can.

Hole in the street

Posted by aztec Sep 18, 2016

Chapter One:

I walk down the street.

There is a deep hole in the sidewalk.

I fall in.

I am lost...I am hopeless.

It isn't my fault.

It takes forever to find a way out.

Chapter Two:

I walk down the same street.

There is a deep hole in the sidewalk.

I pretend I don't see it.

I fall in again.

I can't believe I'm in the same place.

But it isn't my fault.

It still takes a long time to get out.

Chapter Three:

I walk down the same street.

There is a deep hole in the sidewalk.

I see it is there.

I still fall's a habit.

My eyes are open.

I know where I am.

It is my fault.

I get out immediately.

Chapter Four:

I walk down the same street.

There is a hole in the sidewalk.

I walk around it.

Chapter Five:

I walk down another street.

Are you tired of climbing out of that hole yet?

addiction and the brain

Posted by aztec Sep 16, 2016

How addictions change the brain
Addictive substances release dopamine into the nucleus accumbens, a part of the brain associated with motivation and pleasure. In the past, researchers thought dopamine simply registered pleasure in the brain, prompting a person to want more and more of the substance. But more recent research suggests that dopamine interacts with another brain chemical called glutamate. After exposure to a habit-forming drug, these chemicals work in the brain not only to signal pleasure, but to prompt the person to seek out more of the substance as well.
According to one theory, repeated exposure to an addictive substance causes nerve cells in the nucleus accumbens and the prefrontal cortex — the area of the brain involved in planning and executing tasks — to communicate. This communication links pleasure with action, so the person not only wants the drug, but he or she has the motivation to go and seek it out.
Two other parts of the brain—the hippocampus and the amygdala—store information about environmental cues associated with the desired substance. This way, the person can use those cues to find the substance again. For example, if a person usually drinks alcohol at a bar, his brain will link the pleasure of drinking with the sights, smells, and sounds of a bar. These memories help to create a conditioned response—or craving—whenever he sees, hears, or smells those environmental cues again. It’s the brain’s way of “remembering” that the cue might mean that the addictive substance is nearby.

The chemistry is quite complicated, with each substance having its own
receptors.  Dopamine is a natural substance in brain that some neurons
use to signal each other.  It is usually elevated after using
substances that cause a "high."  Nicotine has a powerful
affinity for acetlycholine receptors in the brain as well.  No other
drug seems to work just like it, and that may be part of reason nicotine is
so hard to beat.

it is said the grooves become a part of the brain when we do a habitual thing over and over the grooves get deeper. Its time to make new grooves.,new habits like exercise, meditation, dry brushing, healthy things, walks with our pets. there are tons of thing swe can do. busy yourself untill the gooves no longer tempt us.

Dry Skin Brushing: Benefits and How To

By Dr. Mercola

Many people carefully tend to the skin on their face, regularly exfoliating, cleansing, and moisturizing. But when's the last time you tended to the skin on the rest of your body?

Your skin is your largest organ, after all, and there is one simple step you can add to your morning routine that can greatly improve its health – dry skin brushing.

I'm not only referring to your skin's aesthetic appearance, either (although many would agree this is important to). The benefits of dry skin brushing go beyond skin deep, offering whole-body benefits to your health.

Dry Skin Brushing: 7 Key Benefits

Your skin is a complex system made up of nerves, glands, and cell layers that, when healthy, serves as a buffer that helps protect your body from extreme temperatures and chemicals.

It also produces antibacterial substances to protect you from infection and enables your body to produce vitamin D when exposed to the sun. Your skin even contains densely packed nerve cells that act as messengers to your brain, making your skin a crucial part of your interactions with the world around you.

Another crucial role your skin plays is supporting optimal detoxification. But if your skin is overrun with toxins or dead skin cells, it will not be able to eliminate wastes from your body efficiently.

This is where dry skin brushing can be invaluable, not only in brushing off dead skin cells but also in activating waste removal via your lymph nodes. Beyond this, dry skin brushing offers multiple benefits including:

1. Stimulate Your Lymphatic System

In your body, your lymphatic system is the system responsible for eliminating cellular waste products. Hundreds of miles of lymphatic tubules allow waste to be collected from your tissues and transported to your blood for elimination, a process referred to as lymphatic drainage.

When your lymphatic system is not working properly, waste and toxins can build up and make you sick. Lymphatic congestion is a major factor leading to inflammation and disease. By stimulating your lymphatic system and helping it release toxins, dry skin brushing is a powerful detoxification aid.

2. Exfoliation

Dry skin brushing removes dead dry skin, improving appearance, clearing your clogged pores, and allowing your skin to "breathe."

3. Increase Circulation

When you dry brush your skin, it increases circulation to your skin, which encourages the elimination of metabolic waste.

4. Reduce Cellulite

Dry skin brushing may help to soften hard fat deposits below the skin while distributing fat deposits more evenly. This may help to diminish the appearance of cellulite.

Dry brushing is also said to help reduce cellulite by removing toxins that may break down connective tissue, although some believe the effect is temporary (and mostly a result of skin become more plump and swollen after brushing).1 The Huffington Post reported:2

"When we'd heard dry skin brushing was an effective method for reducing cellulite, we knew we had to include it in our anti-cellulite road test. Sure enough, it was indeed one of the more successful ways to smooth away less-than-perfect spots on your legs."

5. Stress Relief

The act of dry brushing has been described as meditative (especially if you do it in a quiet space) and may reduce muscle tension, calm your mind, and relieve stress. Many compare it to a light whole-body massage.

6. Improve Digestion and Kidney Function

Dry skin brushing may go even deeper, helping to support your digestion and organ function. According to one skin care and spa expert:3

"…many naturopathic doctors use dry brushing to help with bloating because massaging the lymph nodes helps the body shed excess water and toxins. One of the immediate effects of dry brushing is smoother skin, but it can also help improve digestion, kidney function, and more."

7. It's Invigorating

Many people become "addicted" to dry skin brushing (in a good way) because it simply feels so good. Along with glowing and tighter skin, regular dry skin brushers report feeling invigorated after a quick session.

Dry Brushing: How to Do It

First you'll need a high-quality dry brush. Look for one with bristles made from natural materials. They should feel stiff but not overly so. Ideally, choose a brush with a long handle so you can reach your entire back and other hard-to-reach spots.

Dry skin brushing should be done daily for best results, or even twice a day if you like. Try incorporating it into your normal daily routine, such as doing your brushing before your morning shower and then again after work (avoid doing it too close to bedtime, as it may leave you feeling energized).

When brushing, always brush toward your heart, which is best for circulation and your lymphatic system. You can brush your entire body (including the soles of your feet). Start at your feet and work your way up your legs to your arms, chest, back, and stomach. Avoid brushing your face (unless you have a special brush designed for this delicate skin), your genitals, or any areas with irritations or abrasions (including varicose veins).

The pressure you apply while brushing your skin should be firm but not painful (avoid "scrubbing"). Your skin should be pink after a session (not red or irritated) and you can brush for as long (or as little) as you'd like. An average dry brushing session may last between two and 20 minutes.

Try It… You'll Probably Get Hooked

The investment in dry skin brushing is small – you can find a high-quality brush for under $20 – but the pay-off is large. If you've never tried it, you're likely to be pleasantly surprised. As one new devotee described in the Examiner:4

"I've only been at this for about two weeks, but I've already experienced many of the benefits listed above. For one thing, dry skin brushing just feels really good. It's one of those miraculous practices that manages to be both relaxing and energizing all at the same time. For another, it cured my cellulite! …Dry skin brushing also helped heal some ingrown hairs and some innocuous though unsightly bumps on my arms. My skin is softer and no longer dry or flakey. Additionally, though I'm not sure whether or not it's related to dry skin brushing, I must say that I've been sleeping better and experiencing less 'brain fog' throughout the day!"

A Surefire Plan for Flawless Skin

Eating a healthy diet as described in my nutrition plan, which focuses on whole, bioavailable organic foods, is your number one strategy for helping your body detox naturally while supplying the necessary nutrients your skin needs to thrive. Adding dry brushing on top of a healthful diet will only magnify its benefits. That said, certain foods are particularly effective at promoting beautiful, clear, healthy skin, so if you're not yet eating the following on a regular basis, now is a great time to start:

  • Animal-based omega-3 fats
  • Vegetables: Ideally fresh, organic, and locally grown. Fresh vegetable juice is also wonderful for your skin, as are carotenoids, which give red, orange, and yellow fruits their color, and also occur in green vegetables. Studies have shown that eating foods with these deeply colored pigments can make your face actually look healthier than being tanned.
  • Fermented vegetables are even better as they can be made with the same vegetables but are converted by bacteria into superfoods. Fermented vegetables help promote the growth of friendly intestinal bacteria and aid in immune balance and digestion.
  • Astaxanthin—a potent antioxidant—has been found to offer effective protection against sun damage when taken as a daily supplement. Some sunscreens are also starting to use astaxanthin as an ingredient to protect your skin from damage.

Once you've addressed the dietary suggestions above, the following routine can help you to remove excess flakes to reveal the glowing skin underneath:

  1. Use a dry body brush to get rid of flakes, stimulate your lymphatic system, and more as described above (do this for a few minutes on your dry skin, before getting wet)
  3. Avoid using soap or use the least amount possible, especially in winter or in dry climates, as this may promote and aggravate dry skin
  5. Instead, apply a natural body scrub to exfoliate your skin (also apply this to your skin before getting wet, and choose one that also contains oil to moisturize)
  7. After your shower, apply a heavy natural body butter or natural moisturizing oil (not mineral oil or baby oil) to help seal in moisture; coconut oil works well for this purpose
