Recreating Those Special Moments

I think we cherish those moments in our lives when we felt especially happy, or loved, or content, or cherished, or peaceful, and we naturally seek  to recreate them. Since originally those moments included smoking (didn't  almost everything in our lives?), naturally we think smoking is required to feel that way again.

Truth:  it's NOT!  Those moments were not special because we were smoking.  We CAN feel that way again - smoking is not required!

I smoked until a vascular surgeon informed me of the damage I had done to myself by doing so. I quit 11 years ago, and I can swim laps virtually FOREVER now, walk most other days 40 minutes to an hour and a half. What a difference quitting has made in my life! I strive to help others find this wonderful freedom from addiction, too.
