You Can't Know What You Haven't Experienced

Whether you are afraid to quit, or wonder “when it gets better,” or how the freedom we talk about feels, you need to trust those of us who have been there to tell you.

Just ask! We can tell you what you can expect in the early days; we can guide you to reading materials to take the mystery out of them. We can tell you how wonderful it feels to face an incoming storm without having to brave its beginning to go purchase cigarettes “just in case.” To tell you how wonderful it feels not to be ashamed of the way you smell, or what people think about the fact you are still smoking. How it feels to attend a child's concert or baseball game without having to worry about when you can get your next “fix.”

The elders are here to guide you! Just ask!!!

I smoked until a vascular surgeon informed me of the damage I had done to myself by doing so. I quit 11 years ago, and I can swim laps virtually FOREVER now, walk most other days 40 minutes to an hour and a half. What a difference quitting has made in my life! I strive to help others find this wonderful freedom from addiction, too.
