Good News!

I had occasion to visit my family doctor today.  One of his areas of interest and expertise is smoking cessation.  He mentioned to me, while, of course, congratulating me on my continued success, that current studies are showing that 30% of smokers who quit are now making it to a year.  That is up from only 6% a short time ago.

Yet another nail in the coffin of the fallacy that it is "just too hard!"  It is not easy, but it is DOABLE ---- and the lastest studies PROVE it!

As Mike in Atlanta likes to say, "Keep on keepin' on."  We are making good statistics happen.    Be one of the 30%!

I smoked until a vascular surgeon informed me of the damage I had done to myself by doing so. I quit 11 years ago, and I can swim laps virtually FOREVER now, walk most other days 40 minutes to an hour and a half. What a difference quitting has made in my life! I strive to help others find this wonderful freedom from addiction, too.
