I MADE it!

One more hurdle jumped! I had to drive on a major highway in the rain this morning, something that is very stressful since a major auto accident, also in the rain, three years ago. Add to that a visit to a cardiologist – and you can imagine my state of anxiety.

I would ALWAYS have a smoke before getting on the highway, and certainly in the car after the doctor's appointment before hitting the road again. I won't say it was easy, but I MADE it with zero cigarettes this morning!

My quit continues, and so does this journey.

I smoked until a vascular surgeon informed me of the damage I had done to myself by doing so. I quit 11 years ago, and I can swim laps virtually FOREVER now, walk most other days 40 minutes to an hour and a half. What a difference quitting has made in my life! I strive to help others find this wonderful freedom from addiction, too.
